My colour uniformity seems to be with dark background, mainly Huawei video after playing a video then going back to the video folder but this doesn't happen if powergenie is gone. Very odd.
Did you do a reboot? Try the manual brightness and put it up half way then go into chrome or Gmail see if it auto dims.I removed power genie via ADB and it showed success. I still can see battery stats and app usages of battery. Is there anything particular that i can check to confirm it the power genie got actually removed. I am not rooted

Noticed that too in the mate 20 x, this is with powergenie.Interesting fact
If I fully charge and don't clean the cache I get 11 minutes before dropping to 99%
Fully charge and clean the cache manually with all apps and system process I get 43 minutes before dropping to 99% plus about an extra 1 hour overall SOT
I don't know what app or system cache it is rebooting to recovery and clearing the cache doesn't seem to work.
Looking at app usage I can only assume that it's com.android.systemui
It will, let me know if it makes battery worse or betterHmm this thread got me curious if this would work on the Mate 20 X. I'll give it a go either way.
I'm running into the same thing. deleting power genie has helped most of my problems, still not getting my messenger notifications. Why if I have uninstalled powergenie is the service still running?
Check Developer options/Running service

Need to remove it largely because of auto dimming but there's battery benefits, graphics benefits (for me) among other positive performance improvementsHurmm i dont understand what is the needs to remove it. To make sure my selected apps got notifications, untick the app in app launch on battery settings (leave the 3 ticks after tap) & enable notification (if not turn on by default).
If still missed out notifications, then let start to dig deep. Go to settings>apps>apps, tap on the icon above, go to special access>battery optimization, change to all apps on column above, select the desire app, change to 'dont allow'. Done.
I never missed out notification on every apps that i have.
I see. Luckily i didnt experience any screen dimming on my Mate 20, & at the moment i didnt find any games or apps can make the Kirin 980 slow down.Need to remove it largely because of auto dimming but there's battery benefits, graphics benefits (for me) among other positive performance improvements
Gmail, Chrome and Facebook ECT all Auto dim basically mostly all heavy white apps.I see. Luckily i didnt experience any screen dimming on my Mate 20, & at the moment i didnt find any games or apps can make the Kirin 980 slow down.
Nahhh i didnt notice it. Maybe because i'm using the vanilla Mate 20 version, i heard its prominent on the Pro version only.Gmail, Chrome and Facebook ECT all Auto dim basically mostly all heavy white apps.
