The new camera and geotagging works. But autoflash is not available. Is that dependent on other settings?

hold on a second. on my latest uk rom the auto flash works, as a matter of fact I don't have any problems with this camera.

There is a way, you just need to edit the registry.

Could you post the key and the value which needs to be modified to mute the camera sounds?

2- for geotagging, I first updated quickgps, then got a full sat fix with google, and then I tested the camera

Done that and still the same. The co-ords in the EXIF are showing me East of the meridian when I'm actually West.
Can others please stick photos onto something like Flickr?

hello there,

thanks for your efforts, camera is running fine, currently using cmEX Manila ROM in GER - and that's where my problems first occured.

my program files dir is actually \Programme and not \program files...

the new camera-app got installed in \program files (of course)... to get it to work you simply have to move it to \programme and you're fine.

okay. just wanted to say that... thanks for your CAB! it's really good to have geo-tagging without the need of a 3rd party app like gpstoday... thanks!

I only had access to the english files (Ich weiss !! es tut mir leid...) I am looking for the spanish files too

FIXED

1- I fixed the CAB installer: now it's not hard-coded to /program files/, it will install to "/Programme/", "/Archivos de programa/", "/Program files/" or ANY language

NON-ENLISCH USERS PLEASE TEST AND REPORT

2- After installation, go to the /language/ subfolder and rename 0409 for your language code as listed before

IT SHOULD BE FINE FOR EVERYBODY NOW, please report

I'm glad it worked

Now geotagging and autoflash is temporarily available for everyone while we wait for the R3A release !!!

I installed the cab, but had to move the XperiaCamera folder from, "Program Files" to "Program" (Swedish) to make the new interface, with the AutoFlash option, work. Even though I chose the AutoFlash option, the AutoFlash did not work.

This is a Swedish Xperia.

One happy X1 user here!

I installed the following from R3A on my stock R2A Generic UK ROM:
- Camera
- ActiveX
- Panel Manager
- Media experience panel

Once when returning from media experience panel to the standard WM Home panel my X1 froze completely while loading the Home panel (only the start bar and "Calendar" "Contacts" on the bottom were shown. Had to soft reset with stylus.

Other than that it's fantastic - Panel manager and camera startup are a lot quicker, autoflash on camera works (tried it in a dark room - flash was used, and next to a window - no flash used) also the geotagging works - adds correct coordinates (I'm in Estonia, north-east Europe - not sure if the location is of any importance).

I unistalled previous version of R3A camera, got the new cab, installed it, renamed camera0409.dll to camera0415.dll, soft reset device and now I got working camera, with blank spaces instead of text in options, settings and so on. Also auto flash isn't working. When I try to set it to Auto I get some kind of error message (blank) and flash setting goes back to manual.
Any ideas?

hmmpf....if i change my camera0407.dll to 0409 then i got empty menu´s in the setiings....are you sure you didnt a failure when you tipped 0415?^^

after renaiming the language is still english...if you dont do this(renaiming) then you will see nothing in the settings of the camera...alle the "menu´s" will be empty
