Updated with Oreo support. I used latest firmware (.34) services.jar. It should work on all Oreo firmwares. If it doesnt, share your (deodexed) services.jar and I will modify it.

Indulge me if you will, what is this used for or rather what abilities does this give/unlock?
I am not very knowledgeable about these things so your input would be enlightening, thank you.

Superuser Mod allows you to install apps from other devices/firmwares. For instance, the xz1 dialler port (that I use) will not install until you have installed the patched services.jar.
Also you can downgrade an app without uninstalling: normally if you wanted to go from v4 to v3, you would need to uninstall v4 first, with Superuser Mod (patched services.jar) you can install whatever version.

Excellent, thank you for the explanation, sounds like I can make use of this when I finally upgrade to Oreo, in the near future. Appreciate your work and time.

Hi, please find attached Patched Services.jar for XZ Premium on Nougat/Oreo.
Copy to system/framework and give permissions r-w-r-r and reboot.
For Oreo, rename file to services.jar
Credit goes to @serajr as I used his method.
Sorry Sir, but I might need your help if you are able to give it. My phone is now boot looping after following the steps, I obviously did something wrong or failed to do something before hand. Either way, I need to get my hands on the unmodified services.jar file from the firmware 4.7.1.A.8.49. I have the FTF file but do not know how to extract that file, 7zip can only go so far and do so much.

So, my question is, how can I 'obtain' an unmodified services.jar file from for my firmware?
I have started a Thread in Questions/Answers asking if anyone can share, but no luck as yet.

Hey mate, sorry I didnt see this until I was already at work. I seen in the Q&A section you had 0755 set for your permissions when you replaced my file with the stock one, did you also set them 0755 for the modded one?

I am positive I did, that is what led to all my troubles. I used ES File Explorer and set the permissions, incorrectly, and when I rebooted, boom, boot looping. All is resolved now.
Would 0644 for the permission on your file have been correct?

I might give it another go in the future, also, would your file work on a Stock, no deodex or the like?
