rent a center locked galaxy note 8

i have bought a phone via Craigslist it was working fine for few days but now its showing its been locked. I have seen there was a way to bypass it for galaxy s5. Is there anyway to do that on note 8?

No, there is no legal way without paying the full balance to rent a center, you bought an unpaid device, so the seller was not the legal owner, so to speak, is like buying a stolen device, I advise you to contact the seller, and to not seek for any method to unlawfully bypass the lock here in XDA, someone started an almost equal thread, and it was closed...

The phone is obviously stolen or the previous owner didn't pay his bill. Either way, we don't discuss ways to get around that on xda.

I'd try to contact the person for a refund, that's about your only option.
