i got one question here regarding installing the A2SD version...which procedure to go first? Format/partition the SD card first or flash the ROM first?
Partition your SDCard first, I think 512MB ~ 1GB for Ext is enough. Do it via ROM Manager.i got one question here regarding installing the A2SD version...which procedure to go first? Format/partition the SD card first or flash the ROM first?
This is the only ROM with the new kernel and radio for Froyo.
Anyway, it seem way more responsive than stock 2.1 and slightly smoother than CM6 nightlies. I get 915 score for quadrant which is not bad at all.
I didn't do this explicitly, but still it works for mePartition your SDCard first, I think 512MB ~ 1GB for Ext is enough. Do it via ROM Manager.
So...have you partitioned your SD Card?I didn't do this explicitly, but still it works for me![]()
It will tell you what to do in there.adb shell
#a2sd check
If you see my earlier post, that i never did anything like partitioning/formatting of Ext for APP2SD to work. But i did normal format operation earlier(2/3 months back) through my phone itself(Unmount and then using format SD card option).So...have you partitioned your SD Card?
If not, do it via Rom manager, after rebooting, plug your phone to PC with an usb cable.
It will tell you what to do in there.
If you partitioned your SDCard before flashing A2SD rom, you wouldn't have to do anything.
what are the differences if the apps sits on ext2/3 or FAT32 partition?Hi,
I think, you are using FroYo's native AP2SD and not DarkTremor's one!
FroYo save's the apps on the normal FAT32 partition of the sdcard - i think, they go into the .android secure folder!
DarkTremors AP2SD goes a bit further - if you have a ext2 or ext3 partition on the sdcard, android will be fooled in the way that this ext2/3 partition is seen as 'internal memory' and all apps, even widgets, and also the dalvik cache will be installed automatically on this 'internal memory', the ext2/3 partition.
While using DarkTremors AP2SD, don't be fooled by the 'move to SDcard' option within the apps - if you use this, you will use native Froyo AP2SD and the apps are NOT one the ext2/3 partition!

A2SD Version mirrors:@Cryshop : Can you re-upload A2SD version to another place like 4Shared.com or MegaUpload/HotFile ?
I dont know why i can't download from mediafire link you provided...
Thank you ...
You can not move all apps to SDCard with Native Froyo A2SD. If you use adb to setInstallLocation default to Fat32 partition forcing all apps to SDCard, you may run into lots of troubles.what are the differences if the apps sits on ext2/3 or FAT32 partition?
test basic partitionwhat is the recommended partition on our sd card??

2048: Ext2
Rest: Fat32
