I'm having troubles with app2sd version

I have 2 partitions on my sd, 7gb fat32 and 1gb ext2 but when installing apps they go to internal memory... I can see empty ext2 partition with a terminal and internal memory decresing a lot

how can I "activate" app2sd? (I flashed the rom without partitioned sd, only fat32, so it seems I have to move them manually)

sorry but i'm a newbie in flashing android rom, only stock since today
thank you

Here are commands, try /system/bin/a2sd diskspace you will see if the apps go to a2sd. You don't have to activate the ap2sd.. it just works (it should)

ext partition mounting help

Everything was going well with this Rom. I flashed correctly with a2sd version, created partition in my memory card and when everything seems to be working fine i just checked the status of a2sd by "a2sd check" in which i got the message "Ext found but not mounted".

Didnt get this. I tried with ext2,ext3 but every time there was that same message. So i think i am in need for a help from you guys.

Try to partition your SDCard 1st, then wipe everything and flash the a2sd version again.

Hey thanks for your reply, but what i want to clear that how would you suggest to partititon sdcard i.e from r4-legend-root's custom recovery mode or from a regular parition manager from windows/linux.

No success

So finally after so many tries and dont know how much data i have lost due to this, the whole story comes at the same position no Ext partition mounting, whether i try partitioning before flashing or afterward. Whether i try Ext2, ext3 or even ext4. Seems like no use of 2.2 for me as i was only waiting for this feature of Andriod only.:rolleyes:

You can alternatively go for the NON-Apps2SD version - use an ALL FAT32 card.. and use the build-in version of FroYo's apps to sd.. Using this however not all apps support the feature of being moved to sd..

There's a nice log being written on /data (dta2sd.log) while a2sd is executing....
