Today I Am Going To Show You How You Can Easily Fix Your imei And MEID In Your Redmi 4X(Or May Be in Any Other Qualcomm Powered Android Phone)
Dial *#*#13491#*#* To Enable Usb Diag Mode in Your Redmi 4X
If You Installed Your Drivers Properly You See The Ports Under Device Manager
Than Download And Open The Following Tool And Select Your Port Number And Write Your Imei And MEID Number And Click Write1 If Everything Goes ok Than You Will See A Green Colored "Pass" after That Just Reboot Your Mobile
To Repair Your Imei 2 And MEID You Must Modify The Setting Of The Tool for That Click Setting And Than Uncheck *Imei2 Same As Imei1* And Check *Write MEID/ESN

Password to open Settings: ustest

Note: This Is Only For imei Repair Please Don't Change Your Imei Number Because in Some Countries Changing imei Number Is illegal

i get the smartphone connection timed out error. trying to restore imei on redmi 5 plus mee7 (snapdragon 625)

Edit: Have it connected but when i go to write it says "read SN Fail!"

for new phones with SD 845, 710, 660, 639 .... you cant activate diag mode with code Dial *#*#13491#*#* or Dial *#*#717717#*#* or whatever you can enable diag mode throw ADB SHELL and you have to be ROOT.
and even with diag mode enabled i didn't successfuly change imei's in reçent phone with this tool.
you have to use QPST and HexEditor to change IMEI
