Replace cm7 boot animation

Ok, I don't know what's going on. I am unable to replace my boot animation. I've tried flashable zips and for some reason hboot wont recognize them, and yes they are named correctly. Then I tried downloading a zip and replacing /system/media/bootanimation.zip but even with root permissions from terminal it wouldn't let me change anything because it is mounted as an RO filesystem. What do I do???

Try root explorer? I just go into that folder you mentioned, mount rw in top corner and delete the old/add the new.

Fixed. Mounted /system rw and the had to put the zip in /data/local
