Where are the developer T.T
Why they don't fix bugs
We love Cm Rom

Devs don't have money to buy devices.
Uploading every test build to servers for so that someone else can test is a pain in the *ss !
You can follow any tutorial to compile your own CM ROM or just port one yourself.

I never go my hand on the Grand Prime. Not going to work on it ever...Unless I got hands on it. Still open for questions.

I am a New member and certainty no dev.eloper, but i am the definition of rrustrated I had a cricket lg optimus l70 d321 i rooted ( towelroot) that turned out to have no dev. well, not for the cricket d321. Same phone for metropcs (same name, diff model number) had recoverys and all, but bricked
the cricket version. Ok, cheap phone, more folks on metro? Idk.Then i got a cricket Lg Risio h343 i rooted (kingroot) , same scenario, down to twin phone ( identical except called the "leon")w all the goodies available, but nothing for my risio awwww, so i think, eh, another cheap phone, no custom goodies for me. So my buddy asks if i want the Samsung galaxy grand prime. Not cheap, its huge, and its a samsung, yay, ill be a flashing rebootin fool!NOTHING. I check twrp and cwm, nada. But yet theres a twrp for thevfriggen PREVAIL? i know nothing about developing. I bet its hard and stressful s nd i guess no one gets paid. I cant afford any of the cadillac phones, so i almost regret learning about rooting, adb, recoverys and roms cuz theres none for em.Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I have the G530AZ w 5.1.1.Could someone please hit me up w bootloader unlock info? And any recoverys? If any have been finished? Cuz it looks like it was givin up on. Thank you guys who figure this s tuff out. Thank you guys for your efforts

ok here is the cold hard truth... cell carriers typically make you wait an allowed amout of time before they allow you to unlock your device, 30 days or 3 months or ive heard of them making you wait a year for some of the big snobby carriers or perhaps they never will relinquish the sim unlock code ( which i believe the question was about because in the developer options menu is the OEM unlock switch and you can do that yourself) so back to the friendly carriers... i own the metroPCS SM-G530T1 and i had to wait 90 days for them to unlock this mid grade phone lol... So i always hear of people calling them up and giving some sob story about this or that and miraculously their phone is unlocked. well ive had no such luck. i must not know the magic words cause i get shut down everytime. i was running T-Mobile firmware on a MetroPCS device once and i still couldnt get either one to commit to unlocking the dang thing, ha it was like they just pointed their fingers at eachother and said "Theyll do it". Anyways you can always dish out some cash and pay to get your phone unlocked if you want but being as you already purchased a mid range daily driver it wouldnt make fiscal sense. Oh... i heard of people calling the carrier and telling them they purchased the phone off craigs list and getting them to unlock it somehow that way but it always seemed a bit dishonest to me unless of course you did purchase your phone from there and in the case your just telling the truth! because we all know how honest our beloved cell phone carriers are to us ... well atleast after they got busted for frivolous charges and made up fees, ah synonyms. so there it is im not sure what else to say but if you are going to start flashing might i make a couple sugjestion... first make sure the OEM is unlocked. this is very important and cannot be overlooked because if you start modifying with the oem locked you will brick your phone. second please make sure your using the packages specifically for your variant because although you can get lucky sometimes its very far and in between. i really only mess with adb and things like fastboot when im working on HTC and lg models but for Samsung oden is your best friend. i think i saw a cwm recovery for your model out there but i could be wrong but its worth taking another look. i apologize if im sounding like a know it all because i assure you i certainly do not its just that i do not know your skill level is so i start with the basics and i mean no offense i am self taught by bricking about 20 phone at first but throughout the years bring each one back to life and those challenges thogh super frustrating and annoying teach you much more than you thoght. so its much like the situation your in now with a pile of bricked phones each one an opertunity to learn and dont do what i did and through a few at the wall like a fastball only to find the firmware the next day lol ahhh.... so your not alone but the struggle is real man... very real. :D

</> Developpers Only </>
As you may know it, GALAXY Grand Prime is powered by a 64Bit Entry-Level Quad Core CPU, that makes developpment on this device VERY HARD  It's like Intel Atom Processors :p
Anyway, I tried to make a repo for building TWRP GALAXY Grand Prime by refering to Huawei G620S' Repo by GitHub member "EloYGomeZ" BIG thanks to him.
If you're interested in building TWRP, you can use this repo. Feel free to use it, but please remember to give credits when done.
The Repo isn't yet done, it may contains many bugs and errors; plus I can't test it or test a TWRP build since I don't have my hand on that device (should have one in 2 weeks).

Update as of 18/6/2015: TWRP has been compiled for Grand Prime

Wow great,
IMO, its not about 64bit chipset, as we know, lenovo a6000/k30 have the same chipset 64bit.

But have development, we have CWM, Phillz recovery, cm11, MIUI rom

The main problem to devevelop grand prime is qualcomm secure bootloader that protect the device. We need to disable the secure bootloader first. CMIIW

Um how do I unlock the bootloader on Grand prime? I have the device rooted but I want to install a recovery so I can flash files. Also is there a version of cyanogenmod for Grand prime yet? I am currently running 5.1.1 lollipop and I want to use cyanogenmod.

Will this be compatible with sm-g530t?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've been searching everywhere for recoveries and cyanogenmod; found nothing. I really hope it is compatible.

Can g530t be any help in this thread? I'm willing to test, I did all the testing to make root possible for this Variant earlier this week. I am willing to help if possible. And has anyone got a custom recovery working on the 5.1.1 yet? I got one to flash over but it was just so different looking didn't know if it was legit so I flashed stock recovery back.

Is there a recovery for this model? I have that same model and I've been looking everywhere. Also is there cyanogenmod for it? I am running 5.1.1 lollipop but I want to use cyanogenmod :(

This is a custom recovery I found online that seem to work on my SM-G530T. I cannot remember where I found it.
ALSO, I'm willing to help test some CM roms for the SM-G530T. I can flash as many things as anyone like. Anything to get some roms on this device!
