REQ JB mms.apk w/ emoji

does anyone know if the mms.apk from aokp or cm9 will work with JB or does anyone know how to get it to work because i am missing texts because of emoji

edit: it works if anyone wants it here is the mms.apk from aokp b40

not sure if it works but if you want to try it... use root explorer and grab the mms file from an AOKP or CM9 rom and move it into your system/apps folder

just be sure to rename your current mms.apk to mms.old or something like that so u can restore in the event of failure.

yea that is what i was going to try and do but i wasnt sure if anyone had tried it already before i go through the work to get the app.

They work but you lose the mms widget

I read that 4.1 has the emoji Unicode built in. I'll post a link to it in a second...

hmmm thats odd because i havent found a way yet to be able to see them other than reverting to the aokp mms.apk

edit you are right i just seen it under add on dictionaires in language and input. good looking out

After installing, type the word/action you're trying to emoji-fy and it'll come up on the autocorrect bar. (Try heart, or smile)

Seems not all emoji is there, and they're all B&W. I'm kinda disappointed they didn't get the full iphone set in there.
