Ok.. So.. I think i have figured out how you can see if it HDSPA..
The 3g thingie changes the color to green from grey. So when your phone is on UMTS the 3g is gray and when its hdspa it green..

The color of the icons don't have anything to do with HSDPA.
Go to page 58 - "If you don’t have a Google Account or if, for example, you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network that is not connected to the Internet, the network icons are white."

Essentially this is what I am saying try to load a web page with grey wi-fi. It won't work and say that you aren't connected to the internet. That's where I base my answer off of.

hmm yes.. you are right.. Just funny it would ever be lit in the up down arrow obove 3g, and i swear i got internet during grey bars.. But.. might have been total coincidence.
Any way to install just that out of your ROM or is it worth Wiping and reinstalling your ROM (no offense its my first time playing with ROMs and what not, i understand all the commands and principles but I am not sure if its worth re-downloading all my apps and widgets etc...)
