Request for boot animation

-now kind of off topic, but will this work on the SGS Captivate as well, or should I have one of the dev's in their forum answer that for me?

It should work on a Captivate without problem.

The setup of a boot animation is common for Android devices. I've used boot animations that were initially meant for other phones (HTC EVO, etc.) without problem.

It might look a little odd, however, if you use something meant for a different screen resolution. This is set up for a 480x854 screen (with 240x422 images). Our screens are 480x800. I don't know if the phones would scale or crop the animation, but just a heads up. It sounds like this still looks good, however, on our screens.

Can't you install this via root explorer, our fi you have to flash it via cwr?

You can pull out bootanimation.zip and use root explorer to stick it in /system/media/

I had a similar idea for a boot animation with the exception of Android taking one bite then swallowing the whole thing(red apple) and then maybe a grunt and then he flies away and the gray apple with the bite out of it is sitting on the ground behind where he ate it.
