Just to let you know. I have an app called Orientation Control and if I use it, I can use the setting forced portrait and it does rotate and picking landscape again will put it in landscape but auto rotate does not work.
Here is another test. What this does is hopefully it will allow your tablet to work with CM10.2 with my kernel

TEST 13

I'm absolutely loving this rom. I'm going to stick with yours because of how simple it is without all the google crap and I love the asus keyboard. Went back to apex launcher though because of the annoying keyboard popup. Now if we can get auto rotate going it will be perfect. And of course you need to make a new thread so others can enjoy your work. There are going to be a lot happy ME301T users out there. And hopefully they will be willing to throw some money your way to show there appreciatin.

I've tried to install grimmlock cm 3.0 and Test12 on my me301t, but after the tablet boots i get the message : Setup wizard has stopped.

There is no setup wizard on this rom. Did you do a wipe before installing? It should just boot right into the rom and then you have to go to settings to setup the rest of the stuff.

Is this rom suppose to suck up this much battery? Last night I was charging the tablet while running things like games and internet and the battery just kept going down and down and so I finally had to just turn it off and let it charge. With your other rom it didn't do that. Is there some way to keep it from draining the battery so much?

hardslog,

I am completely confused now. Okay, the GRIMLOCK_CM_3.0 you had me flash is integrated with the asus kernel, is that correct? And the kernel from the first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416264 from here is pure CM? If so, is it possible to flash that kernel instead to get the full cm? I love the one with the asus stuff but would like to try your full cm if it's possible. And if not, is it possible for you to make the full cm from that thread to work on the ME301T? Or is that you have to already have a cm based rom flashed before you flash the rom from the first post? I'm sorry for being so dense but I'm just trying to get this figured out. Or can I flash the cm rom from nikybiasion and then flash your kernel?

GRIMLOCK_CM is a Rom based on the CM10.2 nightlies posted on the CM website. I have made tweaks and changes to it, stripped out some bloat and also modified a kernel I compiled from Asus to work with Cyanogen mod. If you want full cm you can flash any of their nightlies and then try test 12 Kernel on top of it.

Flashing nickybiason Rom and then Kernel won't do anything because test 12 Kernel is from the nickybiason rom.

What I plan on doing is keeping my GRIMLOCK_CM Rom but then release a package in that thread for ME301 compatibility.

As for the battery drain I am not sure what is happening. You should check the battery stats to see if anything is eating it, as I have good battery life.

Okay, I think I understand now. All of your roms/kernels have asus in them? And your rom and nickybiason's rom are two different things? Or does his have asus in it also to make it compatible with ME301T?

Is there a method to bring my navigation bar back to where it used to be, on the left side? Now the back button and menu button are in the middle.

That was the old jb style. In the Asus rom you could choose to keep it or go with the new style. I'm not sure if they can do it or not. But where the kernel has asus in it maybe he could put it back in.

All roms have Asus of some sort in them. This is so that drivers and stuff are compatible with cyanogen mod. My rom has a few Asus apps in there for good measure where nickybiasons is straight up cyanogen mod.

I could make a tweak that gives the old style back, but you would miss out on a few features. It's called the tabletui and there is a program that xdaers have made that can bring tab style to cm based roms but having the navigation buttons in the middle is how Android does things now.

Okay, yeah I understood that all the roms have the drivers and files to make them run on the tf300t or the me301t. The part I didn't understand was that all you do differently is throw in some asus stuff as well. And your test files throw in the touch and wifi stuff. I've got it now.

Okay, I have just one more question. The test12 worked but then you had me do the test13 and that didn't work and you said What this does is hopefully it will allow your tablet to work with CM10.2 with my kernel, isn't that what test12 did?
