Just got a 5X (in the US). I would like to use the fingerprint reader (so probably limited to stock ROM?) but would also like to use Xposed if possible,

Could someone recommend a ROM to flash? Or can I put Xposed on stock ROM at this time?

No problem with your stock ROM and with latest Xposed framework. No need to change anything.

Awesome, thanks!

Anyone idea if it will play nice with the Marshmallow update?

And in general what are everyone's impressions of the update? Is it better than the 5.1 stock, or are there bugs?

Way smoother
That's great! My wife has a 5X running the 5.1 stock, rooted but not modified in any other way. I assume the OTA is seamless in terms of not messing up existing apps/accounts/data/settings etc?

I don't want to run the update for her if it's going to cause any issues.

Well, it is just so and so... Some bugs fix with newer introduced one.

Got the call recorder not working with marshmallow so I wanted to revert back to 5.1 but got my device bricked... ^^

Haven't got time to repair it yet.

The update itself shouldn't cause any issues since you don't try to revert it back.
