If anyone uses tasker and wants to replicate this:

1. Make a new task
2. Select "Scripts," then "Run Shell"
3. Put this in as the command: echo "AUTO" > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/1-004a/tsp
4. Check the box that says "Use root"
5. Set up a profile that runs on device boot which runs the new task that you just made.

Also, try running the task once to make sure that it works and to grant Tasker root privileges if you haven't already.

Guess I'm your first customer, unless the download counter was wrong.. (just bought it :D )..Probably won't be using it, just a little disappointed that people can't be bothered dropping a buck for something they seem to find so useful that someone else spent their time creating...Good luck!

Edit: I lied, activated it, seems to work as advertised

Very good start. I have disabled it just for now as it doesn't seem to work all the time. Sometimes works perfect but then sometimes takes several attempts. Thanks for starting this though Dev.

Is this to wake and to sleep like g3?
I've come across another way to accomplish this however. If you swipe up from the bottom without an assigned action, for example launch Google Now and you have Greenify installed, it gave me the option to assign that function to Greenify allowing it lock and hibernate by swiping up...

It's insane to me some of the comments in here. Sure, there are others way to do it, via a script and tasker, but this guy made a nice little apk that reenables the squashed commit.

So what if he wants to make a buck? You're still getting it for free no matter what. Also, those asking for features, do you not understand he didn't create this?

Google did, then took the code out at the last minute. He simply added it back in. If you have beef with it's unreliability or lack of features, take it up with Google.

Agreed. I'll buy it purely out of spite for the haters

Battery should be better using this than on the nexus 5 right? Even though Google disabled it the hardware that allows this to be battery friendly is present right?

This is what these threads have turned into . I was hoping the 600$+ price tag of this device would bring the adults from the old nexus days back and remove all the kids but guess those days are gone . They don't get that this took time to make ,and time isn't free . sooner or later Dev's just will stop sharing there work for good.
