That may be true, but I do NOT get the same behavior, which is all that matters. This app works 50% of the time, at best, on my phone, the link I provided works 99.9%.
Ya dunno , you can go on that thread and people agree with you some say app is better ... This Feature is missing something or google didnt complete it or something to be so buggy .

Thanks for this app and clean simple implementation. Would love the ability to set the tap to wake to the ambient display notification screen though - that would make it perfect!

There must be something that dictates the tap speed I noticed that no matter how its implemented if i tap to fast or slow it doesn't work I have to have the speed the same every time.

Just one question, double-tap-to-wake works out of the box on my nexus 6, just got it from the shop, did not do anything to it till now...so, what does this implemantation do? Make it work "better" ?

If it works out of the box somehow you're set. I wouldn't touch it!

Ok..but strange enough that this is not the case for all people..if this is a feature of the phone, why is it disabled for some...
Upon release it wasn't ready in the software. However I haven't heard it being enabled in the recent updates either so it beats me. Use it lol

does it work when you're holding it?

If my (currently unrooted/ locked) N6 has been sitting on the desktop or a hard surface for a while, I can double or triple tap it and wake it most of the time, but it won't do it if I'm holding it in my hand.

I've noticed that with Ambient Display active it sometimes appears to wake when double/triple tapped. Really you're just triggering the sensors and waking it as if you've picked it up (why it doesn't work if you're already holding it.) Try turning off Ambient Display and tapping to wake it up (without this app enabled of course.)

I'm intrigued with the idea behind this app. I'm worried about potential battery drain. Is it using the existing Motorola functionality? Will it decrease % of deep sleep CPU state? Anybody experienced battery drain or is it negligible? Thanks! Trying now.

I don't notice any higher drain than normal
