[Resources] Flashing your First GSM Raphael Rom (For Noobs)

Hey,
Will this work on my o2 xda Serra which is the same phone as the htc raphael????

I am trying to flash my touch pro through a sd card.
But when ever I try to reboot with stylus and press volume down + enter (round button) it goes to tricolor screen and asks me I want to hard reset my device.

But it doesnt ask me to flash. I did formtat the sd to fat32
and yes I renamed the file to RAPHIMG.nbh

It worked in the past. But somehow this file doesnt?

I suppose you've got the RAPHIMG.nbh file in the root of your sd card, right?
Next, to flash you need to press the Vol-Down + stylus in hole to left of usb connector - without pressing the round ENTER button if you want to flash, or with this gesture if you want to hard-reset without flashing!.
What you have been doing is hard-resetting, not flashing...

But how come my phone did flash previously with the hardreset method?



And I have another question, a while back my usb started to act weird.
It just came to a hald while flashing with USB on the pc. So I started flashing from SD.

I think there is no physical damage, is it possible the usb went weird due a bad flash a time ago?

Did it just install a new radio? And do I need to reinstall hard spl? (when reverting back to energy rom, this was only an attempt to fix usb)

Your questions can be answered by checking the startup text for the Radio version and the Bootloader for the SPL version.

Please search that error code in this thread, you are sure to find the solution.

SSPLManual.exe was never included in any of the files, i found it on a filesharer website and added that manually to the phone and ran it, then i could hardspl my phone successfully

I am wondering where i can find radio 2.10.59.19_2, Pongster said he's got his HD2 running that radio and his battery life is excellent, and all data and call features work perfectly. I am on radio 2.15.50.14 right now and my speakerphone is horrible and so is in-call volume, and my battery life is atrocious, with Energy rom dinik glass for Winmo and i have Pongs AndroidMedaUltimate 1.2 (donated version) running for Android. Just wondering if anyone has a link to a thread on it or maybe just a mirror?! I've searched and searched i promise!!

i made i mistake, i downloaded RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe in same folder where is energy rom, dont do that ore you will get this message like me error 260, 262 itd

Does anyone have a way to flash hardspl without activesync? In order to dwnld Windows Mobile Device Center you have to agree to have your computer branded by MS's GUID. Call me overly concerned about personal freedoms, but I don't want to do that (and yes, I still have my win7 receipt from newegg.com)...

Alternately, can someone send me Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (64-bit)? I appreciate anything that helps me stick it to the man.

You need to be alot more specific about exactly HOW you want to upgrade it and what you have done with it so far.

Tried this and finally I can breathe some new life into my Raphael
Thank you very much for this good guide.

As a side note, you may want to add that people with Windows 7 will always get a "connection lost" error, after the screen goes blank and there will be no flashing, no matter how long you wait.
This is because windows will install a new driver for the "blank" Raphael and the RUU will timeout with a connection error.
The solution is to wait till windows installs said driver and run the RUU again.
This will happen on both flashing the SPL and the custom ROMs

Stupendous, I was having serious issues with flashing my HTC Fuze a couple of days ago. No matter what I did, i could NOT get the Olinex to get the drivers to show up in W7.
But when I flashed a Stock Rom, the windows drivers came up and it installed.
I tried Olinex again, and it was not working.

Part of the problem I think is having .NET 4, not .NET 3.5 Windows 7 pushes you to .NET4.
Another one is the ROMs to unlock the phone are timing out, with no driver answers..they just say "fine, try again".

I fixed these by using my XP laptop for the Olinex and the Rom I wanted.

Hello all

I'm ashamed to say this but ... i've got an HTC Touch Pro Bricked (i guess) since it can no longer turn on, no vibratin', no light even when plugged to the usb or the charger.. no life sign at all..

i've tried all the reset options, the battery pull out in, other batteries, looked all over the web & found only some scary stuff about oppenin' up it's guts & wirin' the motherboard with deadly pins to blow life into it.. from the inside

The original owner gave it to me so i can look up a solution on the web (doesn't speak english), he told me that it was becuz of a flash fail (goin' to a 6.5 rom)

would be very grateful if somebody can help

Just a few questions i have the wm ver 6.1 can it be upgraded to 6.5 or 7?
and now that i've got hard slp on my phone can i use the tael rom on it? the build of my phone is 19965.1.2.3. does this mean that i have a phone that can't be updated?

If you have HardSPL on your phone you can flash any rom that has been made specifically for your phone. Just look in the Rom Development Forum and you will see whats available
