Sure you can run everything manually, from the adb commands included in the bat file to installing superuser app and busybox. Run superuser, then run the term, use such and if it works it works, a question from the Superuser app should pop up.First of all, thanks to everyone that's trying to help me get rooted. As you know, each Android device seems to have its own quirks so it almost doesn't matter what my experience is with the other devices...I'm a noob with each new one.
That said, adb is working fine, I get all the way through the process..."congratulations! You've got root" I'm told. But there is no superuser or busybox in my app drawer, and root checker, tibu, etc say no root.
Asus sync has been killed. Adb is working. It's frustrating.
What version should I be running? There are several on a couple of different threads, and maybe there's something missing. Is there a way to do this manually? That's the way I rooted my Xoom...I've been so spoiled with all of the one clicks...
However as you got a confirmation from the bat script, I don't think you have to go through adb all over again.
