restore backup from oneplus

Hi All,

I just got myself a galaxy s9+. After setting up my google account I was expecting to see the backup of my current Oneplus 5 but it's not there. I only see the backups from my 2 Nexus 7 tablets. When I login on my google drive I see the Oneplus backup is there but the Galaxy doesn't see it.

Is there a way I can make the Samsung see the backup or do I need to install all my apps manually and probably lose all the app settings and wifi passwords and what more?

Is the oneplus backup a regular google backup or it's own thing? You can use the samsung transfer/device switch program that is included to switch devices if the restore doesnt work. It asks you during the setup and the instructions are included with the literature. That's why they include the usb otg dongle.

The backup from the Oneplus is just a regular google account backup. Switch doesn't transfer all account and app settings as far as I know. (such as wifi passwords)

Smart switch actually copies everything over. You can select what it must copy over
