Hello everyone,
My Huawei P30Pro phone recently died and I had to go back to an old device, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
The first connection was already difficult with the Huawei, but with the Redmi, it's even worse. It's impossible to connect it to the phone after dozens of attempts.
I tried to go through Wear Os, an old version of Wear Os, Galaxy Wearable, directly through Samsung Health as on Huawei ... I reset the watch and applications several times, nothing works.
Either the phone does not recognize the watch, or it says it is not compatible, or it stops at 87% of synchronization.
I tried the pairing recommandations on the first page, still no success ...
I'm on the verge of giving up and getting rid of the watch. Do you have any advice? Is there a special version of Galaxy Wear to install for Xiaomi phones, a special method? If that matters, the redmi is rooted.

Perhaps your battery optimization is aggressive, it kills the connection and services running in background, try to whitelist the apps

Hi. I did all the steps from the tutorial but the SHM still doesn't see my Galaxy Watch 4. It just keeps saying "no compatible watch found". All apps are added to Denylist (MagiskHide) but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Battery optimisation turned off, all permissions granted. Phone & Watch were rebooted multiple times, SHM's cache and date cleaned few times but to no avail.

Well, I can't tell for sure what might be interfering, do you have a Chinese rom or Google services missing?
It was indeed a Google service problem. The phone had been unlocked and rooted and Google files should were not updated or accessible by the watch setup program. I completely reset the phone, updated it, and the watch instantly connected to the phone! Thanks for your help!
For those who still haven't heard about SHM MOD Companion...
Did anyone try if you can use the unmodified stock SHM app on the watch (because you're in a supported region) together with the modified SHM phone app (because you use the watch with a non-Samsung phone)?
I would imagine Samsung might possibly try to prevent that because the apps will have different package names etc.

I have a samsung A52s, it works perfectlty.. Nontheless, the 4G feauture doesn't work (even, doesn't appear) anymore...any suggestion????
If you read the F.A.Q, you'd see the mod has a different package name, so you'll never be able to use it with watch shm stock, and the reason for having a different package name is due to google signature verification, both installed apps need to have same signature and same package name...

Yeah, I had a feeling the different package name would be an issue but it depends on how the watch and phone apps communicate with each other so it was not a guarantee to be an issue. I'm well aware of how Android's signature verification works so the need to change the package name of the modded app was never in question.
Thanks for responding though, and thanks for maintaining the mod beyond the first few versions. I can't always be bothered to do so myself when modding apps.
Hi I updated shm mod to 1.1.1.191 from the before release .203 and i lost ecg and BP widgets on my watch (they're missing). It also asked me to insert height, weight and other data but I don't have the possibility to use BP and ecg. Is someone else facing this?

Is there a way without resetting the watch?

You installed the phone shm on your watch, please install the shm mod companion to know whether there is an update or not...
Watch 203 is the latest version...
you need to uninstall the phone app from your watch and reinstall the watch 203
Join the Telegram group and ask, someone might be able to help, or post in a new thread on XDA, even better as you can get a faster response...

Maybe the back of the watch is dirty...
Turn off the watch, and gently wash it under warm water, dry it with tissue and leave it aside to dry even more...
Turn it on and try, hopefully it works...

My plan is to apply the same patches that I applied on the previous version and see whether it's enough or not. If it's enough, I will check what UI changes might have been added...

I will do one final test, create the clone for WearOS, then roll it out for Beta Testing...
Might take some time as I brought an 8-inch windows 10 with me, and I am going for my appointments, so whenever I am free, I will work on it on that small screen of mine lol...

The phone isn't necessary as much as the watch updates, because optimization of ECG and BP on phone handles the view while on the watch, it handles the sensors...
That's why I write a changelog for everything, so people can decide whether to update or not...
Either way, I'm a person that updates always...

I believe the folders describe themselves, the APK at the root is to be installed on your phone, the file at the root of folder "ADB Watch4" is to be installed on the Watch4, you have instructions for ADB in different Languages and you have the Original SHM for the watch4 and there will be a history of the Watch4 SHM MOD...

IMPORTANT NOTE: Updating Samsung Health may reset "set features" back to original values and this disables the sync, change them again to enable the sync and check the permissions of SHM MOD, it should be enabled as well...
The steps are easy to follow, first, let's enable the set features on Samsung Health,
1. Download from my Google Drive "SamsungHealth.zip" on your phone from inside the folder "Enable BP Sync"...
2. Extract it inside the Download folder on your phone internal Storage...
3. Check the extracted Folder and its contents on your phone, the path should look like "/Internal Storage/Download/SamsungHealth/FeatureManagerOn"
or "/storage/emulated/0/Download/SamsungHealth/FeatureManagerOn"...
4. Never delete this folder...
5. Force stop Samsung Health, then open it, go to settings, then scroll down to about Samsung Health, now tap on the version till set features is enabled...
to enable the developer mode on Samsung Health:
Instructions in words, you will open Samsung health and go to settings then about, tap on the version till features and developers are visible. You will go inside the features and expand the "Health Analytics" set it to "DEV", then expand "DataPlatform" and turn On the "Developer Mode", when you hit back, Samsung Health will ask you to force stop the application and take you to the app info screen, you will force stop and clear the cache, this will allow Samsung Health to reinitiate a connection without security checks for SHM to sync BP with it...
On SHM MOD, open the side menu -> Data -> Data Permissions and tap on Samsung Health, Make sure permissions are enabled so it would start syncing...!
~~~ ABOUT THE ORIGINAL SHM ~~~According to Samsung, The Samsung Health Monitor app requires a Galaxy Watch Active2 or Galaxy Watch3 and later models, alongside having Android version 7.0 and above...
SHM has device detection, country restriction and spoof location detection, the following countries were listed in the country restriction checking, I believe if you live in those countries, SHM should Work, otherwise, it wouldn't, SHM checks your GeoLocation, Sim Card, and Device CSC (if no sim or location provided)
