Install the companion and let it do the work for you...I must be doing something wrong. My app will only bring up developer mode...
Perhaps your battery optimization is aggressive, it kills the connection and services running in background, try to whitelist the appsHello everyone,
My Huawei P30Pro phone recently died and I had to go back to an old device, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
The first connection was already difficult with the Huawei, but with the Redmi, it's even worse. It's impossible to connect it to the phone after dozens of attempts.
I tried to go through Wear Os, an old version of Wear Os, Galaxy Wearable, directly through Samsung Health as on Huawei ... I reset the watch and applications several times, nothing works.
Either the phone does not recognize the watch, or it says it is not compatible, or it stops at 87% of synchronization.
I tried the pairing recommandations on the first page, still no success ...
I'm on the verge of giving up and getting rid of the watch. Do you have any advice? Is there a special version of Galaxy Wear to install for Xiaomi phones, a special method? If that matters, the redmi is rooted.
Thanks for your help!
Hi. I did all the steps from the tutorial but the SHM still doesn't see my Galaxy Watch 4. It just keeps saying "no compatible watch found". All apps are added to Denylist (MagiskHide) but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Battery optimisation turned off, all permissions granted. Phone & Watch were rebooted multiple times, SHM's cache and date cleaned few times but to no avail.
Well, I can't tell for sure what might be interfering, do you have a Chinese rom or Google services missing?I deactivated all the optimizations, wishlisted all the applications linked to the watch, reinitialized all the applications linked to the watch and retried 5 times. The synchronization always freeze between 80 and 90% :/
It was indeed a Google service problem. The phone had been unlocked and rooted and Google files should were not updated or accessible by the watch setup program. I completely reset the phone, updated it, and the watch instantly connected to the phone! Thanks for your help!Well, I can't tell for sure what might be interfering, do you have a Chinese rom or Google services missing?
If you read the F.A.Q, you'd see the mod has a different package name, so you'll never be able to use it with watch shm stock, and the reason for having a different package name is due to google signature verification, both installed apps need to have same signature and same package name...Did anyone try if you can use the unmodified stock SHM app on the watch (because you're in a supported region) together with the modified SHM phone app (because you use the watch with a non-Samsung phone)?
I would imagine Samsung might possibly try to prevent that because the apps will have different package names etc.
Oh, I must've missed that in the FAQ. Thanks. If you read the F.A.Q, you'd see the mod has a different package name, so you'll never be able to use it with watch shm stock, and the reason for having a different package name is due to google signature verification, both installed apps need to have same signature and same package name...
You installed the phone shm on your watch, please install the shm mod companion to know whether there is an update or not...Hi I updated shm mod to 1.1.1.191 from the before release .203 and i lost ecg and BP widgets on my watch (they're missing). It also asked me to insert height, weight and other data but I don't have the possibility to use BP and ecg. Is someone else facing this?
Join the Telegram group and ask, someone might be able to help, or post in a new thread on XDA, even better as you can get a faster response...Hello! Thanks for this great mod. I initially installed it after buying my new gw4c. Then I changed the ROM on my pixel 6 pro and had to reset the watch.
Is there a way without resetting the watch?
One more problem after changing ROM:
Samsung Health is syncing all the time and steps are not syncing anymore. See screenshot attatched. How can I fix this ?
Maybe the back of the watch is dirty...Hello everyone, I have a problem with blood pressure measurement. The ekg works perfectly.
When I measure the blood pressure, the watch stops at 98% and reports: No measurement possible. Remove the watch, gently massage the wrist...
Does anyone have the same problem?
My wife has the same watch (small version). The same problem exists here.
Many greetings
Sir_James
We are running Version 1.1.0.203 on the watch
The phone isn't necessary as much as the watch updates, because optimization of ECG and BP on phone handles the view while on the watch, it handles the sensors...Dante63, quick question. I installed this MONTHS ago, it works perfectly. Even after Samsung updated the watch a few weeks/months after I installed it. (March?).
Any reason, as long as it works, (ECG,BP) to update to any of your later updates?
I'm one of those "if it ain't broke, or the update doesn't enhance something I wouldn't use
anyway, why bother" types when it comes to software updates.
Reach me on any of my social media for better messaging and I can get screenshots from you as wellI tried but my watch can't connect says "ip configuration failure"
Check your PM'sI have Lineageos 19.1 on my Poco F1 and I cannot install Samsung health monitor. I get an error message that the app is not compatible with my system. Is there possibly a trick that I have overlooked? Thanks in advance and have a nice Sunday
First I want to say to article authors, thank you for your efforts to publish an article on this, but please do not copy and paste into your article as content may change and please provide link to the thread so people can get help and ask questions...
Ok, now let's begin:
- Tizen SHM MOD and WearOS SHM MOD...?
The watch4 original SHM can't communicate with the phone MOD, and it's not possible to completly remove the original SHM from the watch4, so I had to create WearOS MOD and rename the previous MOD to Tizen MOD...- Do I need root...?
No root is required...- Does this void my warranty?
No it does not void the warrenty or trip the know or damage the watch or the phone...- OTA effect on MOD & MOD effects on OTA.
No Effects, the MOD is independant...- Do I need to install both phone and watch MODs?
Yes, you need both, keep in mind, the apk with word phone is for phone and the watch4 is for the watch...- Where is the IP Address?
You can find it inside the developer options after you enable the ADB Wi-Fi, it takes time though, alternativly, you can go to connections -> wifi -> the wifi you are connected to -> scroll down and you'll find your IP...- Can I do this from my phone?
Yes, you can use Bugjeager if you don't like to type commands or Remote ADB Shell if you want to type the commands...- How do I update?
Just install it again and it will update, whether you install the phone app or the watch app...- Do I need Samsung Health MOD, is there even such thing...?
There is no Samsung Health MOD, Samsung Health is a core application, modding it will break many services, using official Samsung Health works fine...
Now here is an update of mine if the above does not work and Galaxy Wearables keeps disconnecting from the watch4
Initially it was Huawei devices but this solution works for other devices as well...
This fix is done by Reddit u/Relative_Comparison2 & u/MelodicMaintenance
You need Galaxy Wearables & Watch4 Plugin installed, now do the following steps:
- Download Samsung Health.
- start Samsung health then go to accessories and search for your watch (scan).
- Samsung Health will call Galaxy Wearables to set up the connection and a normal setup is performed.
It was Explained that you need to have the following apps installed:
Galaxy Wearable & Watch 4 plug-in
Give all permissions to Galaxy Wearables and the Watch4 plugin by going app info, scroll down, permission and grant all...
Now Clear the data of the following applications:
The phone will start acting up, that's normal, so restart your phone to allow system app to rebuild itself, when the phone starts, do not configure your google account yet, first try connecting to the Watch4 again through Samsung Health and it should work, after that you can do whatever you want for google...
- Google Play Services
- Google Play Framework
- Google Play Store
- HwWifiproBqeService (For Huawei devices only, skip if you are not Huawei)
One last note, disable any battery optimization, some phones have aggressive optimization, they will kill background services, this will stop the watch4 from pairing, if you can't disable it, then whitelist galaxy wearble and the watch4 plugin!
pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.shealthmonitor
and exiting the shell and disconnecting... instructions updated...
