Just got a GW5Pro and almost everything working flawlessly thanks to SHM Mod.

Just one thing appears to not work for me at the moment;

I don't have any complications from SHM Mod on the watch, are these supposed to work or is this a known issue?

I uninstalled the official SHM from the watch so now I don't see any SHM related complications in the list when modifying a built in face. If I leave the official SHM installed it just crashed when I tap the complication.

Yep, it works for like a day, then stops syncing.
When I go through the entire process and get it to work again, it will sync all that was stored in your SHM app, ie. days worth of records.
If no one else is experiencing this, it must be something in my system that stops this connection... I'll continue to dig.

Those complications are hard-coded letter by letter (which is wrong thing but Samsung does it like that 🤷🏻‍♂️)

You either set it to open shm mod app or just put a widget for BP & ECG...

I suppose you could try editing some of those watchfaces...

Change shealthmonitor to shealthmonitors
Change the package name
Rebuild the watchface and install it

And the complication should work fine...

Logcat is your best friend, it should be under dataroom or datastore (I don't recall)

But it will say that and either success or fail, before the fail (or after) you will see what caused the failure, if it's signature verification then setfeatures is broken/unapplied, if timeout, then something is occupying the buffer queue (happens when you install non-watch apps aka phone apps or your phone is doing so many things that the connection is terminated) and the list goes on...

Oh, it's worth checking battery optimization, some phones love to kill any background services, try whitelisting SHM MOD, plugin and wearable...

because you are calibrating it.
My main question is how and why are you ignoring everything that was written in the recording you sent. Did you make blood pressure test with external device? if yes, press "yes, enter now" and enter what external device reported to continue. Watch took the reading to compare it & calibrate with that you are ought to enter.

Well I have gone through this via README's and the video, unfortunately I have no success.
I have a Pixel 5 phone and a Galaxy Watch 5 PRO.

The app on the phone works but the Samsung Health intigration does not appear to work where it says..
"Allow this app to read and write Samsung health data.". There is an "All permissions" toggle that simply won't toggle to the right. I just click "Done". It searches but can't find the watch.

The new health app with the purple icon is installed on the watch, when executed via button press, it shows the splash screen (the logo) for a few seconds, then that image just pans to the right and the app appears to stop.

So no dice :(

You need to calibrate the watch before using and as the other member said, why did you skip reading the requirements, even the video in front of you is telling you to use a medical device...

One last thing, thanks for the video because without it, your comment threw me off as I had no clue what the issue was and after watching the video, everything is working fine for you...

Just calibrate it every 28 days and all good...

I wrote "The new health app with the purple icon" so people wouldn't think I was referring to the default Samsung app which is blue/green.

I guess if we were to split hairs the
"purple icon" is reddish/ pinkishish/blueish as well but the ingredients overall makes it purple in my book (see attached).

I'll try again later to see what I missed. Thx for the response.

I've opened a support thread on XDA as well so those that are interested on the project. Atm I'm interested on adding support for older Android versions but I need someone to test it out

Ah it appears you are suggesting that I install a patch which will require rooting my phone and installing Magisk, the root will delete my data (I will need to backup and reinstall everything). I guess I have to pass on that for now as I don't know quick ways to do this, that will have to be a project for another day. I'll come back here when I have more time. Thx for help/

    Bluetooth deleted, get Bluetooth lib patch... rooted Samsung needs Bluetooth lib patch, otherwise at every reboot hou lose everything...

    I have just encountered someone with Huawei device having issue with health app sync, in fact, samsung health app on watch stopped working completely...

    I think Samsung released an update and forgot that devices with no playstore can't update Samsung Health on watch...

    Sometimes, Samsung Health update would reset setfeatures back to default values, you just need to set it again...

    Thanks Dante, I seemed to have missed the drop down instructions.

    What I did -

    Cleared data of Samsung health, Wearable and watch plugin.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled all above-mentioned apps.
    Cleared data of -
    Google play services
    Google play store
    HMS core framework
    Rebooted phone, opened Samsung health and added the watch.

    It works now, thanks!!

    No, just calibrate if you want accurate results, enter dummy values if you want false positive results...

    The whole purpose of calibration is having as accurate as possible results...

      The watch4 original SHM can't communicate with the phone MOD, and it's not possible to completly remove the original SHM from the watch4, so I had to create WearOS MOD and rename the previous MOD to Tizen MOD...
    2. Do I need root...?
      No root is required...
    3. Does this void my warranty?
      No it does not void the warrenty or trip the know or damage the watch or the phone...
    4. OTA effect on MOD & MOD effects on OTA.
      No Effects, the MOD is independant...
    5. Do I need to install both phone and watch MODs?
      Yes, you need both, keep in mind, the apk with word phone is for phone and the watch4 is for the watch...
    6. Where is the IP Address?
      You can find it inside the developer options after you enable the ADB Wi-Fi, it takes time though, alternativly, you can go to connections -> wifi -> the wifi you are connected to -> scroll down and you'll find your IP...
    7. Can I do this from my phone?
      Yes, you can use my Geminiman WearOS Manager...
    8. How do I update?
      Just install the updated files I release and it will update, whether you install the phone app or the watch app...
    9. Do I need Samsung Health MOD, is there even such thing...?
      I do not encourge using Samsung Health MOD, Samsung Health is a core application, modding it will break many services, using official Samsung Health is safer and better...
    10. What is BP Sync and is there an ECG Sync...?
      BP or blood pressure data can be saved in Samsung Health Cloud, allowing you to view all of your BP to be seen on Samsung Health app and no, there is no ECG sync and never was, ECG can only be exported as PDF and Excel file...

    ~~~ Pairing issues with Watch4/5 on Galaxy Wearables (Watch4/5 not supported!) ~~~​

    Initially it was Huawei devices with Watch4 but this solution works for other devices as well as other Samsung WearOS watches...​

    This fix is done by Reddit u/Relative_Comparison2 & u/MelodicMaintenance​


    You need Galaxy Wearables & Watch4/5 Plugin installed, now do the following steps:
    1. Download Samsung Health.
    2. start Samsung health then go to accessories and search for your watch (scan).
    3. Samsung Health will call Galaxy Wearables to set up the connection and a normal setup is performed.

    Now here is an update of mine if the above does not work and Galaxy Wearables keeps disconnecting from the watch4
    It was Explained that you need to have the following apps installed:

    Galaxy Wearable & Watch 4/5 plug-in​

    Give all permissions to Galaxy Wearables and the Watch4/5 plugin by going app info, scroll down, permission and grant all...​

    Now Clear the data of the following applications:​

    • Google Play Services
    • Google Play Framework
    • Google Play Store
    • HwWifiproBqeService (For Huawei devices only, skip if you are not Huawei)
    The phone will start acting up, that's normal, so restart your phone to allow system app to rebuild itself, when the phone starts, do not configure your google account yet, first try connecting to the Watch4/5 again through Samsung Health and it should work, after that you can do whatever you want for google...

    One last note, disable any battery optimization, some phones have aggressive optimization, they will kill background services, this will stop the watch4/5 from pairing, if you can't disable it, then whitelist galaxy wearble and the watch4/5 plugin!

    Disclaimer: The changes made by this module may have ramifications/consequences beyond what you may be using it for (Samsung Health). I have tested it for several days and havent found any personally, but this doesnt mean they dont exist. You use this at your own risk
    This module:
    • looks for /vendor/build.prop
    • if found, it copies the ro.security.keystore.keytype line (in case not everyone has the same keytypes in the line - i hate using static files, i write modules to use whats on each device) to a new system.prop file in the modules folder
    • removes sakv2 from the line in system.prop (it will remove sakv2 from the line (hopefully) wherever it exists, beginning, end or middle)
    I had planned to test this new "fix" for a while before releasing the module to stop people from manually editing the existing file, as using magisk is preferable as its easily reversible, but once i saw posts on XDA about it, i figured id release this now

    As mentioned above, there may be side effects to this "fix", ymmv

    Note: You still need to make sure you have Samsung Health added to Magisk's Deny List, ideally with Shamiko installed (if using Shamiko dont forget to disable Enforce Deny List)

    According to Samsung, The Samsung Health Monitor app requires a Galaxy Watch Active2 or Galaxy Watch3 and later models, alongside having Android version 7.0 and above...

    SHM has device detection, country restriction and spoof location detection, the following countries were listed in the country restriction checking, I believe if you live in those countries, SHM should Work, otherwise, it wouldn't, SHM checks your GeoLocation, Sim Card, and Device CSC (if no sim or location provided)

    • BP Calibration Code changed
    • checkUpdateInterfaceWithLocation method, you will hate this very much, according to the logic of the code, BP & ECG is now enabled and locked based on location, so if you travel, brace yourself for "service not avaliable"
    • About section has isNoneApproveCountry which tells you whether country is approved or not, what's the point of this since the app doesn't run in none supported country you ask...? I have no clue...
    • CSC check sim card on Latin American and Caribbean (SELA)

    Due to the major changes, here is my plan:
    • Release the MOD without Darkmode in beta test...
    • If all goes well, it goes public and I start working on Darkmode and it goes into beta test...
    • If all goes well too, it goes live...
