Great tutorial, and detailed too. My phone is S22 Ultra and my watch is Watch 5 Pro I found the Bugjaeger method easiest to use. However, I discovered that my phone became laggy and gets very hot after installing SMH Mod on the phone. Also, the battery usage on my phone dropped from 37-40 hours to 18-24 hours (I did turned off ADB and Wifi Debugging on the phone after installing the app). Ultimately I had to uninstall the app. I recalled I installed the app on Galaxy Watch 4 with no issues.

Watch shm doesn't have lock screen to crash, so that's interesting...

Before the watch5 i had an active 2 watch, and I've noticed two things that I don't know if they're normal, because in the active 2 didn't happened to me.
First, now on watch 5 I have to be connected to the phone to make an ECG. If not, it simply doesn't enter (register button appears). In the active 2 I could make as many ecgs as I wanted, and once I connected to the phone again, it synced every ecg I had made before. It's something I did wrong or is it possible to take away that restriction?
And lastly, the lag in the ECG. I suffer from extrasystolia, and with my active 2, when doing an ECG, the graph in the watch showed in real time my extrasystoles.. I mean, i felt it and I was watching it instantaneously in the watch. Now in the watch 5 I see the beats or extrabeats 1 second (aprox) after it actually happened. Very odd, I don't have watch5, but 4 and I can record as many ECGs as I want without phone and I don't see the delay, however, the graph isn't 100% accurate, it's just an approximate UI visual effect (I might be wrong)
But as I said, with Watch4, I don't see what you described
...it would be great to have a video of what you mean, I can ask in the Telegram group or someone with watch5 can verify things...
I have done verity of tests on that and it was a pass, app works fine on android 13, could you provide me with logs so I can see what exactly is broken for you...

Funny enough i managed to get it work in the end by using a galaxy wear apk from around july/august 2021. then after connecting to the watch letting the app update.
Only issue i'm having now is i can't get samsung pay to work or gpay. tried a few tricks but they didn't work....
You'll hate my suggestion lol...
Reset the watch and choose a different country that has S-Pay...

Playstore, install logcat viewer...
It should ask you to connect your phone with USB debugging on and run an adb command to grant it permission to see logs (unless your phone is rooted)...
After that, tap record, open the app, let it crash, open the logcat and stop recording, send the logs...
Alternatively, screen record and show me how exactly it's crashing, a video cam give me an insight...
Hope this is what you need. Let me know if something else is needed.

Oh ok. I installed the mod as the instructions said, downloaded the phone apk from google drive, used the auto adb installer.
Got the companion and installed it and from there I didn't do anything differently, every time I switch to the "Watch" tab the app force closes. I don't think I did anything else or different.
I'll investigate it further,
Can you try geminiman WearOS manager from playstore and see if it also crash at watch tab...?
If not, then I might have copied something wrong from there into the companion...
Please report it, that will be useful to track on playstore console...
The error says View can only be touched by original parent, so I just need to find where it is complaining about the parent view and fix it...

NF is checked as isAUModel (Australia)
MO is checked alongsiide HK in a new method called isHongKongRegion (China)
TH has its own method isTHModel
Nothing about the PH or MT or LU but it is possible to say they got partial support if not fully...
what next:

* BP and ECG results may look different as I spotted method fromHtml (used to add styling to text, such as color, bold, etc) in a TextView...
* BP History Compare...? worth checking this one out...

* I don't think there is a significant change in the UI (at least by just looking at the code)...

Good day...5@Dante63 I wanted to thank you for the support of these device and making the app compatible for other devices besides Samsung. Recently I suffered heart issues and ended up in the emergency room. I was able to know that I was having an acute heart issues ( not heart attack) only because of your mod that I have installed and the Galaxy watch 4 I own. Truly it's what made me go to the hospital as I have high blood pressure and the for me keeping track of my blood pressure is very important . I was feeling some chest pain last night and decide to use the ECG future on the watch. I regularly check both my blood pressure and the EcG to see if things are going normal and the result are usually very consistent for the ECG normally sinus rhythm and for my BP the normal range. I keep the watch well calibrated all the time since o have a manual and an electronic BP cuff at home. Last night during the episode I was having the watch started to gave a result of artrial fibrillation and inconsistent reading for which I said ok it not normal check my BP and was high compared with the other BP and effectively it was very high. Ended up in the emergency room and the doctors where able to help me out all thanks to the fact that o was able to use my device a point of reference. The doctor told me that it was a smart thing to do since the result at the hospital with the BP and the ECG where consistent with their findings. I know the device is not medical graded but give a good point of reference and the fact that you have a mod for to be use with other phones ( I have a P7p) is what perhaps saved my life. I had never experienced heart issues in my life as o only have BP issues which I keep in check with my medicine and was the reason I got the watch in the first place. Thank you for the mod in my opinion it saved my life. May the universe bless you for what you do . Again thank you so much for this.

- NOTE FOR SAMSUNG ROOT USERS: Device encryption will play a big role if you leave it, you most likely will end up with error ERR_INTEGRITY which makes shm refuse to communicate with the watch... the solution would be flashing encryption disabled...

IMPORTANT NOTE: Updating Samsung Health may reset "set features" back to original values and this disables the sync, change them again to enable the sync and check the permissions of SHM MOD, it should be enabled as well...
The steps are easy to follow, first, let's enable the set features on Samsung Health,
1. Download from my Google Drive "SamsungHealth.zip" on your phone from inside the folder "Enable BP Sync"...
2. Extract it inside the Download folder on your phone internal Storage...
3. Check the extracted Folder and its contents on your phone, the path should look like "/Internal Storage/Download/SamsungHealth/FeatureManagerOn"
or "/storage/emulated/0/Download/SamsungHealth/FeatureManagerOn"...
4. Never delete this folder...
5. Force stop Samsung Health, then open it, go to settings, then scroll down to about Samsung Health, now tap on the version till set features is enabled...
to enable the developer mode on Samsung Health:
Instructions in words, you will open Samsung health and go to settings then about, tap on the version till features and developers are visible. You will go inside the features and expand the "Health Analytics" set it to "DEV", then expand "DataPlatform" and turn On the "Developer Mode", when you hit back, Samsung Health will ask you to force stop the application and take you to the app info screen, you will force stop and clear the cache, this will allow Samsung Health to reinitiate a connection without security checks for SHM to sync BP with it...
On SHM MOD, open the side menu -> Data -> Data Permissions and tap on Samsung Health, Make sure permissions are enabled so it would start syncing...!

--- 27th August 2021 - patched the watch4 shm update 171 and released it, simply adb install it and it will update the mod, you don't need to update the original SHM...
--- 26th Aug 2021 - Patched the watch4 SHM MOD, I never thought it would have restrictions, oh well, patch include (country restrictions removed, BP disable removed, force update removed and Age changed from 22 to 16), simply install and it will update, no need to uninstall the previous MOD... Oh and Canada does not have SHM on the watch, probably some countries won't have it too, I updated the thread to include a section for "Missing Original SHM" and I updated the ADB instructions and I removed port since ADB connects to defalt by itself, you just need the IP of the watch...
--- 25th Aug 2021 - Another patch I have done on 153, since the link between Samsung Health and SHM is broken, I decided to remove the pop-up dialog that asks to sync, it's confusing some people... Also, after some tests done by a telegram member, it is possible to disable and hide the Original SHM on the Watch by doing Connection the watch to ADB and going into adb shell and typingpm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.shealthmonitorand exiting the shell and disconnecting... instructions updated...
--- 23rd Aug 2021 - patched SHM 153, added a WearOS logo to the phone app and changed app version label included wearos, this is just to ensure that you don't use WearOS SHM with Watch3 or Active2 because it's not compatible, patched Watch4 MOD 169 to have a ring on the widget to make it more friendly to the eye (there is a bug in galaxy wearable if you add tiles, you will see the widgets not displaying correctly, so set it from the watch if you can't tell which is the original and which is the MOD and organize it on the phone later if you want), I also patched SHM 153 for Watch4 in way that it can work with SHM 153 for Tizen, users that have both watches connected to the same phone can enjoy using both SHMs and finally, on my google drive, I decided to add "Phone.WearOS." at the beginning of every phone application, this will help users that have both Tizen and WearOs watches in knowing what each apk is for...
I added a section of watch4 pairing with Huawei issues and possible fix, it's done by reddit user, with small collab with me..

- Release the MOD without Darkmode in beta test...
- If all goes well, it goes public and I start working on Darkmode and it goes into beta test...
- If all goes well too, it goes live...
