First of all thanks a lot for the SHM mod!
I wanted to ask if someone knows how to make the Huawei P40 (or any phone without Google play services) to work with the Samsung watch 4, I removed the Huawei ban from within the app using apktools and installed it but it still doesn't connect.
I have tried the Samsung Health method but it disconnects after a few minutes and I cannot re-connect the watch.
Any recommendation/Ideas on what I could try?

Tried to force close SHM and clear the cache but it's still not syncing. Something I'm missing, maybe? Anyone also experiencing this after the last update?

Cheers, i will try your way to set to traditional CN, currently i set to simplified CN.
As you can see the left picture below, although phone displays simplified CN, watch is still in English on only ECG and BP functions.
on the right picture below, all other functions in watch including Oxygen sensor displays CN, but the phone SHM ECG and BP menu (when clicked in) are in English (all other menus in SHM in CN).
Which region is selected for Chinese because you have options and not all of them would work
can i change the region on phone like pc? SM phone is bought & using in Australia and and google play is set to Australia as China has no google play access.

I don't know if you can give me a steer with one final hiccup: the data that is syncing starts from today only, i.e. none of the historical data has found its way back on to my phone. But I know It's all still in my Samsung Health Cloud account, because I can download it through SHM. I wonder if it's because the past data was associated with a different device - which would be a pretty arbitrary design decision by Samsung?
It's not the most important thing in the world, but for medical reasons (which I mentioned in my Paypal message to you) it would be really helpful to get the previous BP data back into my history.
Have you encountered this before?

The SHM app that Samsung made doesn't allow data to be backed up and restored, I have tried manipulating and overriding it in the past because I was testing and updating the shm mod (clearing data, uninstalling, installing, so my data is always lost), the app would immediately overwrite the backup I try to restore and eventually the app crash...
it seems they wanted the BP data to go to the cloud and be seen only on Samsung Health app, as for ECG to be exported as PDF or Excel file...
Sorry to say there is nothing I can do about it...

- By looking at Manifest, I am not happy at all, it seems we lost a new feature, whatever it is, it has something to do with BP Alarm, maybe they want to implement auto BP? but it has signature protection and a permission, this means only 1 SHM can exist (version 1.2.2.005 and above), tizen, wearos or stock, unless i remove it...
- I don't see much of changes in UI...
- They added several policy changes and users have to accept them stating they are 22 years old, but how odd, this string tag is for china (example home_setup_cn_age_check) and not the world? or maybe they are lazy to fix it and decided to use china tag for the world?
- They added Device ID Service, probably to get the Device ID and not generate it randomly...
- They added a version check for phone and watch, if outdated, force update or close app...
- BR (Brazil) got IHRN...
- looky here, they changed the CSC logic, it will be bad news too those who changed watch CSC to get and use stock, now they are calling build.prop "ro.csc.sales_code" and I am betting this CSC is fixed to country of Sale and not the CSC we change (do correct me if I am wrong)
- they are enforcing age check to be 22 and above, not sure how if the calendrer is set by the user...?
- The BP Alarm I spoke of turns out to be alarm for recalibration?

Still facing issues, it is probably the plugin and wearble version, follow these steps:
If the above does not work, it may be related to bad plugin, so follow the steps in the picture first to Downgrade everything and pair through Samsung Health as above stated, login & update everything later after pairing is successful...
Tested:
Latest plugin + latest Samsung Health + Wearable 2.2.50.22072061
Steps:
Keep your internet on, Open Samsung health, then accessories, locate your watch, disconnect from internet (Data and Wi-Fi off, only Bluetooth on) and tap on your watch, galaxy wearable will start offline and pair with the watch, after the pair, you can connect to internet and update wearable and configure anything and everything else...
