resurrection remix can't check update oneplus 5

I have the following problem:
I have RR OS installed on my OnePlus 5 (Android version 8.1)
If I try to check for updates it says: can't check update
Any idea how to fix this problem?

This is likely because the devs behind RR haven't implemented OTA functionality yet
