Samsung told me that if you return the phone, you basically lose your trade-in. That's it. Doesn't seem fair for them to not at least offer the amount as Samsung-only credit. You get nothing.
You know what the worst part is, as we've seen in another thread, they currently have no replacement program for defective devices. They just tell you to return it and order a new one. So if you get a bad phone and sent your trade-in, you return the defective phone, get credited for the price you paid for it (full price less trade-in value), then have to order a new one at full price. This is completely insane. I certainly wish I pre-ordered from Best Buy instead of Samsung. Higher trade-in value plus you can exchange if your device is bad. I'm pretty salty right now.
