Succeeded. I don't know whats wrong. I did try to delete folder for prerequisite of root enbironment, I did use revanced manager 42, extended, excluded what should be excluded with root environment and some other exclusion.

Maybe those other exclusion made the difference.

Your old revanced YouTube will continue to work. It's just you can't patch old versions of YouTube.

0 problem. Both on rooted phone (Pixel 7 Pro) and non rooted one (Aquos R6)

simply flash magisk module on rooted phone

and simply use the manager on non rooted one,

i think it can't be any more simple than this. You just need to know what to use for your condition

Use ReVanced Manager 0.42.
Make sure you changed these:
  • Go to Settings > Sources > and Change both names (patches organization & integration organization) from revanced to inotia00.
I don't know why you can't patch it if you followed the correct steps.

Sorry guys, I don't know why you have this issue, I can't help you further since I am not the developer. If anyone else is knowledgeable please enlighten us.

Me and many others patched both Official & Extended fine. As I said I tried to patch with Extended again yesterday with the same steps and worked perfectly fine.

I would suggest you to try these steps:
  • Download and Install latest Vanced microG.
  • Redownload Official YouTube 17.45.36 (nodpi)
  • Download and Install ReVanced Manager version 0.42
  • Make sure you did the correct changes to manager to fetch from inotia00.
  • Make sure Manager have the necessary permissions.
  • If still doesn't work: Instead of using the .apk of Official YouTube directly to manager try to install first the official YouTube app and then patch it. But if you already have official YouTube installed to your device that may cause a conflict.
I can share you my already extended builded .apk if you want.

These are pretty much the same steps. These are the errors he has.

I may could add my own builds to OP, since Vanced has it's own thread and also has an article for it. But If I am gonna do it, I will talk with Mod just to be sure. Tbh, I don't know if it's needed since everyone can patch and make their own build but if there is a demand for "ready" .apk then I may consider it.

    I don't think an option for this exist. You can open an issue at github of extended and ask inotia00 to add it. I remember some people want it to be like that, I personally don't use these gestures.

    There is only one patch "Swipe Controls". No patch for remember or not. inotia00 made it by default to remember last value.

It may seem a lot when you first look at it, but it's just few steps which even a little kid could follow and do it.     • Download Vanced microG (latest version), Official ReVanced Manager (latest version), Recommended Official YouTube Version 18.03.36 (nodpi).
    • Install Vanced microG & ReVanced Manager.
    • Open ReVanced Manager.
    • Check if your device is compatible with ReVanced Manager here. [Sort By New]
    • Go to Patcher Tab and Choose the section "Select an application".
    • Choose the "Storage" icon on the bottom right corner and select the .apk of Official YouTube which you previously downloaded.
    • Select the patches you want and Install. [Recommended to not select Debug patch as it may lead to performance degradation]
    • Optional if you want to export the patched .apk (app) you made, after finish the patching and before you install it, press the 3-dots menu in the top right corner and export it.
    • While you installing the app and when you first open the app, you will get a warn from play store. Press ignore and then press -do not send-. It's safe don't worry about what play store says.

    ♻️How to Update (Backup & Restore ReVanced Manager Keystore)

    ReVanced Manager using a keystore file to sign the apk, if you erased all data of the manager the keystore would be deleted too, so you need to remove the old revanced apk to update.
    What if there is a way to backup the keystore? It turns out, you CAN, check out below:
    • Check here how to backup and restore ReVanced Manager Keystore file via adb, so you will be able update your app even if you erased all data of ReVanced Manager.
    • You can also do it and copy-paste via File Manager > Android > data > app.revanced.manager.flutter > files > revanced-manager.keystore.

    🗒️Notes

    • Read this post which I explain why I created this thread.
    • ⚠️You need to be logged in to ReVanced to open the YouTube links normally when you set it as default youtube app.
      You can read more about the issue I had here (in the Official Discord of ReVanced).
      This is also happening in Official YouTube so it's not a bug of ReVanced or Extended.
      If you don't wanna use your personal Gmail to connect to ReVanced via microG then just create a new one and use it only for it.
    • If you are using MIUI and you have trouble to set it as default app for youtube links, check this and for general devices this.

    • Use SmartTubeNext which is awesome and open source. [You can use TV Bro Browser (which is also open source) to download and install it]
    • ReVanced is not avaiblable for Android TVs and you should not install anything from random sources you may find in the internet.

    🎧Spotify

    • In Android📱 you can use xManager or Spotube for Spotify with No ads and trackers.
    • In Desktop🖥️ you can use SpotX or Spicetify or Spotube.
    • Since many people relate YouTube with Spotify for listening and streaming music I've created this sub-section with recommended apps which can achieve similar result as ReVanced.

    • Install microG and then the Official ReVanced or ReVanced Extended.
    • While you installing the app and when you first open the app, you will get a warn from play store. Press ignore and then press -do not send-. It's safe don't worry about what play store says.
    • To set the app as default: Go to App info > Set as default > Open supported links, "On" > Supported web addresses > Turn them all "On"
    • Enjoy!
    Notes:
    • For Unofficially Supported Version of Extended (above the recommended version), you need to first uninstall Stock youtube app since there is a conflict with the package name.
    • You can also install ready APKs (YouTube, Music, Twitter, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok) from j-hc/ ReVanced All APKs.
    • To Install via Root without microG, you need to manually build according my Root guides at OP. (You can still install my .apks here as Root user but along with the microG) [Read here]
    • Or you can simply install the j-hc/ ReVanced Magisk Module.

    ♻️How to Update

    • You can just download the new .apk and install it normally as update.
    • ReVanced Manager using a keystore file to sign the apk, if you ereased all data of the manager the keystore would be deleted too, so you need to remove the old revanced apk to update. In order to prevent that, I backup and restore my keystore. [Read more at the same section at OP]

    🗒️Notes

    • Each .zip contains the ReVanced or ReVanced Extended.apk along with the latest Vanced MicroG.apk.

    I can't understand what's your problem with my thread, as you mentioned it for a second time.
    We don't compare threads here, I just wanted to create my own guides and manage my own thread the way I wanted since I didn't found any proper guide with steps in the other thread when I firstly joined into ReVanced world, more like a generic talking and infos as I already said in my previous post, and that triggered me do it. Beside others the owner of the thread doesn't seem to want or have the time to activily participate and contribute to thread as he said here and can be inactive for long duration and the last update on thread was at 17 October before asripath told him here few days ago, to include at his OP some links which I already had on my own thread.
    Also my thread contains much more informations, links, guides, download ready .apk(s) and includes the Extended version and I personally found it more polished and organized and I am always trying to see how can I improve it.
    I think you confusing the type of threads as the other says [Discussion] while mine is all around (all in one) and you can clearly see the differences at OP and the main purpose of a thread is to have a good and updated OP since it's the main thing. Most users don't use the "search" button to find things into a thread or they don't read all these pages and if you are realistic you can understand that.

    About the surprises you said, I don't really understand what you mean. I already had a [Read this] near the step with patches in Extended at root guide but the guy didn't paid attention when reading, that's why I asked if he had chosen the Recommended patches. I personally don't use root so I gather information and I include them.

    Honestly about ReVanced IO and the Module, I don't care much and this is not a thread about ReVanced IO. I said what I knew and that's all. If people have more information and are more knowledge about a specific subject are free to post and enlighten us and I could include these informations at OP. No need to create any drama.

    I laugh with comments "the level of knowledge and understanding was on the higher lvl on the other thread"...and if you count the lvl knowledge with what we know about revanced io, I laugh even harder.
    Simply if you don't like the information here and you think that we are low lvl noobs, ignore this thread and don't care about it. That was rude by ur side and I don't like posts with this type of irony.

    I don't understand these kind of "attacks" and this is the last time I talk about this. If you think all the infos (old and new) must gathered at one place I could include at OP the "old" thread with link. I won't close my thread if that's your purpose and ofc I will "keep going as I do."
    I want to help people with all of my threads, as I always do, the level of knowledge I think is more than enough since many people builded successfully and found the thread useful.
