Fully functioning with non-root version on my Pixel 3

I used Revanced Manager 0.42 + Official YouTube 17.45.36 (nodpi) just as the OP stated + MicroG + recommended by the app patches

First I tried with Revanced 0.44 + Official Youtube 17.45.36 (nodpi) but it didn´t work, so, I recommend that if you have the same problem of "aborting" when patching, try with 0.42

Anyone knows what´s the difference between using the root vs non-root builds?

Differences between root vs non-root (my experience so far)
- In no-root it creates another app icon specially for Vanced Extended, so everytime you want to open YT, you shall open that, while in root you just open classic YT and voila

- In no-root, the MicroG app generates a permanent notification, while in root you don´t need that.

- In root, I felt a bit of lag while opening the app for the first time. I don´t know if this will persist.

For non root you can use Ncleaner to remove that and other perm notifications. That same app has a lot of other notification chnaging/removing/grouping features and is a non-root app.

Not possible. It's the same like google play services that has to run all the time.
MicroG is a substitute for it.

It’s rooted already. I just prefer the non-root version for stability.

I also used with root no issues, just patch after installing apk don't patch apk directly. Also don't use tablet layout.

I was able to fix the aborting errors. Turns out I was simply using the wrong version of the revanced manager (0.44 instead of 0.42) and hadn't noticed. Downgraded and it finally patched with no problems.

Hello. I would like to remove the previous and next buttons on videos. Is it possible ?
(when I double tap to jump x sec, sometimes I press next by mistake. Moreover I never browse videos with next or previous so it is unless for me). Let them only inside playlists?

Also to do pause with a single tap would be nice. Instead having to tap once to show the pause button and tap on it. Pause video must be a quick action when viewer is disturbed.

My guess is 1 and/or 3.

I hope the ReVanced team can resolve it or move the project to a diferent online repo that will allow them to continue.
GitLab, BitBucket, SourceForge, ..

Maybe it will make them look at some of the patches and realize some (like app logo modification) break copyright laws.
