I know. This is not their website, that's why I recommend to notes to better build ur own version and don't use that.Revanced team is denying ownership to revanced.io site
@Retrial
For non root you can use Ncleaner to remove that and other perm notifications. That same app has a lot of other notification chnaging/removing/grouping features and is a non-root app.Hello!
Fully functioning with non-root version on my Pixel 3
I used Revanced Manager 0.42 + Official YouTube 17.45.36 (nodpi) just as the OP stated + MicroG + recommended by the app patches
First I tried with Revanced 0.44 + Official Youtube 17.45.36 (nodpi) but it didn´t work, so, I recommend that if you have the same problem of "aborting" when patching, try with 0.42
----------
I will try installing a root version with the same build.
Anyone knows what´s the difference between using the root vs non-root builds?

Differences between root vs non-root (my experience so far)
- In no-root it creates another app icon specially for Vanced Extended, so everytime you want to open YT, you shall open that, while in root you just open classic YT and voila
- In no-root, the MicroG app generates a permanent notification, while in root you don´t need that.
- In root, I felt a bit of lag while opening the app for the first time. I don´t know if this will persist.
You can change the app icon to stock official when building. Simply diselect the specific patch.Anyone knows what´s the difference between using the root vs non-root builds?

Yeah, that’s why I use it.You can change the app icon to stock official when building. Simply diselect the specific patch.
You can simply long press on notification of microg and select to hide it.
Both apps root and non root are the pretty much the same.
In root you don't need microG. Also in root it's a bit more complex since you need a detatch module and other stuff to avoid problems.
Non root it's kinda more straight.
But battery is drain is comparatively high cuz of Micro-G.
Could you make it so micro-g only launches when open yt
Not possible. It's the same like google play services that has to run all the time.
but revanced uses modified micro-gNot possible. It's the same like google play services that has to run all the time.
MicroG is a substitute for it.
Create a build without microG and use without using account or root your device.
It’s rooted already. I just prefer the non-root version for stability.Create a build without microG and use without using account or root your device.
I also used with root no issues, just patch after installing apk don't patch apk directly. Also don't use tablet layout. It’s rooted already. I just prefer the non-root version for stability.
Thanks for the tips!I also used with root no issues, just patch after installing apk don't patch apk directly. Also don't use tablet layout.
Sorry to laugh but, I was waiting for that or a Cease and Desist from Google, Twitter, ..On December 8, 2022 ReVanced has received a takedown notice by GitHub.

My guess is 1 and/or 3.
GitHub Acceptable Use Policies

3. Intellectual Property, Authenticity, and Private Information - Link
I hope the ReVanced team can resolve it or move the project to a diferent online repo that will allow them to continue.
GitLab, BitBucket, SourceForge, ..
Maybe it will make them look at some of the patches and realize some (like app logo modification) break copyright laws.
Cheers.

Sounds like google has blacklisted your account. Try to use another one, best would be a brand account.Howdy, I'm having some issues with ReVanced Extended. I've tried building my own APK using the ReVanced Manager, as well as using the APK provided by Retrial, and often I just can't get videos to play. Either they never load, or the first couple of seconds will load and then it stops.
Is there some setting I need to enable/disable to fix this?
I'm running Android 12 on an ASUS ROG Phone 3, not rooted.
this is incorrect its not a blacklist but a staged rollout of detections for microG and spoofed apk namesSounds like google has blacklisted your account. Try to use another one, best would be a brand account.

I can't understand what's your problem with my thread, as you mentioned it for a second time.Honestly, on one side it is good that this thread includes instructions in the OP post, but on the other side, the level of knowledge and understanding (specially about the root version) in the other XDA thread about ReVanced was on the higher level
Regarding to all these recent 'surprises' that root works without MicroG, that ReVanced.io module is the same as j-hc and so
IMO a single thread without dissipating the info would have been better - but ok, keep going as you do
