One of the reasons I was going to get this battery was because of what looked like a matte back. Are there still any of those out there?

Has anyone tried the stock extended battery?

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-EB145...3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1309739191&sr=1-3

I think I may go this route since the top is still skinny, hopefully it'll be easier to slide into my pocket.
I am using the Stock extended battery. Here's a quick review.

As far as looks are concerned, it is ugly. As someone else stated here, it looks like the phone has a tumor. If you can get past that the battery is great.

Case is slippery just like stock. I roughed it up with some sandpaper and now I am very happy with it.

Battery life is amazing. When I was on UKB 2.0 I was getting 45-50 hours per charge. Now I have moved to MIUI (just got it working), so Softlocker is killing my battery. I expect to be closer to 12-14 hours, once we get a MIUI release that allows to phone to come out of sleep for a call, I hope to be back to where I was on UKB.

Personally, the look doesn't really bother me and I find it fairly comfortable in my hand.

Any comparisons between teh 2400 and the 3000?

Not sure which to get. And to the posters who claim the phone has been on for three days and the battery only went down like 30%, you aren't heavy users right?

My battery usually dies around 8 hours right now and I use it pretty heavily. (a normal day = ~40 SMS, 10 MMS, email push, xda and wsj apps around 1hr+, 10min phone calls).

I'm running EF 3.6, didn't over or underclock

Unplugged at 9am it is now 9pm after 12 hours of use. My battery is at 65%. Since I am around a charger all the time I will hold onto this for traveling only. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a extended battery. That is, if you don't mind, the phone becoming as thick as a classic iPod or deck of cards

Battery life pretty damn good

I just got mine yesterday. Took a while to charge to 100 percent. Unplugged around midnight Friday, and lasted all the way to 7:30PM on Saturday with heavy use. I used GPS for one our on the way to museum. I sent a few text emails and short phone calls. Took a few pics at the museum. And I was playing with the phone for much of the day. Reading and setting up Cyanogen Mod 7.

So that was about 19hrs on it's first charge and run down. I'm thinking after a few cycles that will improve a bit. I'm definitely satisfied. Easily last twice as long as my other battery would have.

I'm only concerned with how long it will take to charge. I guess as long as I charge at night I should be OK for pretty much the entire day.

Trust me, you don't want part of it to be skinny while the rest bulges out. It will be cause for more discomfort than just getting the smooth back. It's really not that bad when added and makes the phone as thick as the original droid.

I will say this, I was using CM7 dailies and also MIUI. They are both Gingerbread roms...and then for kicks I switched to Powerwashed which is a 2.2 based Froyo ROM.

The difference in battery life is huge! I noticed my phone now gets an extra 5 or 6 hours of use using this Naztech battery.

So yes...buy the Naztech...and also you may want to switch to a Froyo ROM that doesn't have all the battery drain issues that the Gingerbread ROMs all seem to have.

Another thing I did that I think makes a bit of a difference, I started unsubscribing myself from all email I get. Groupons, Living Social, Best Buy, Funny or Die, and on and on and on. I would get about 50 emails a day on average. Most of it just junk and ads. I got it down to about 5 emails per day! This is a time saver, and a battery saver. The less I have to screw with my phone for worthless emails, the more battery life.

There are days that I barely touch my phone and it will have been 16 hours and only have used 25 percent battery! No joke.

Love the Naztech battery.

Ironic i just ordered one of these batteries from Amazon. Woke up this morning and unplugged my Fassy, only to find after being on the charger all night its at 68%. Figured it wasn't plugged in right I plugged it into my charger at work, only to come back an hour later with a warning on it saying the battery was too hot. And it WAS darn hot. So I stuck it in the A/C and then was able to get it up to 78%. My work is pretty hot usually 100 to 120 degrees but it never bothered my phone at all. Phone is over a year old now so I assume the battery is shot, just hope it doesnt catch fire lol. Too bad you can't get cases for these batteries, however I think I can stretch the outside of my gel case on the outer edge of the battery, the back panel is falling out anyway.

What about protection for the front of the phone? is there no lip? That would be the biggest gripe for me.. I mean I can deal with some extra thickness but not having a lip for the front would be a deal breaker for me.

What kind of work do you do that its "usually 100 to 120 degrees" ???

Anyway, something like that happened to me as well once but my phone was in a cool environment. Turned out something was wrong with the charger...not the battery or the phone.

Seems to me like yours might be the charger's fault as it charged with your work charger.

I work in a Chocolate manufacturing facility as a maintenance mechanic blee9999. BTW my first full day yesterday with the battery, UNREAL. At 8 am basically turned everything on, Wifi, 3G, GPS, bluetooth and used the phone all day. By 5pm the phone was showing 70% yet and since I wanted to calibrate the battery I had to drain it. So I began running the most draining apps I found and at 9pm I finally drained it. However it screwed my phone up doing that I'm gonna have to reflash everything today. I'm amazed, GPS would kill my stock battery in about 3 hours. So the lesson is don't try to calibrate this battery, it doesn't need it.

Also found something strange the day before when I used it the first time, at the end of the day it was at 36% and after 3 or 4 hours idle it showed 40%. That was with the initial charge the battery was delivered with.

I love it! The battery life is amazing compared to the stock Fascinate battery. Only problem is that vibrate is a bit louder because the battery is sort of loose. I might try to put some tape around it to make it fit better or something.
