Hi Jason, this is James, the CEO of PITAKA. I got here because one of my clients expressed his concerns before ordering after reading your post.
We are truly sorry that the item that you received something with a flaw. We understand your disappointment and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.
The cutout was not centralized and we do believe you received something which we made before NOTE8 launched, and that was not supposed to leak out of the production.
Before we ship any product, it undergoes several stages of quality checks. It is our intention to provide only the highest quality items to our customers, and we regret that your product slipped past our quality measures.
We will send you a new replacement with perfect cutout. We will ship out the replacement this week by Express and you will receive it within next week. And if anyone else who believes receiving our products with a flaw, he is always welcomed to contact us for returns or free exchanges.
Thank you again for bringing this issue to our attention—please don’t hesitate to contact with any further concerns.

I am very disappointed by the way they are handling this.
It is, by far, my worst online buying experience.
Order passed on 10 november, not yet shipped, even though Pitaka staff, including the CEO, @james-pitaka, told me, twice, that it will be shipping in the next 24 hours.
It never did.
Now they are no longer replying mails and it seems that there are quality control issues...
