I do not trust this company. I have ordered my case on Nov 4th. received an email today asking me if I'm interested to switch to different color. If not, there would be a delay for my original order. In either case, they need my order number.

I just registered today to post my experience. Stay away from this company.

Yeah I got the same thing. I can't be bothered to find the freaking order number. I just told them to leave my order the way it was. What jerks. If they sent me an email then they know the order number that they issued to me!

It looks like they took WAY more orders than they expected to get and did not have anyway to stop them on their site. I've talked to them and it looks like iPhoneX and iPhone8 orders crushed them on top of the Samsung orders.

I knew this case + wireless charging magnetic dock would be HUGE but I'm surprised how fast it blew up.

This is/was a very small company. I don't think they planned on seeking more than a couple thousand of them and they got hundreds of thousands of orders.

I'm sure they are having trouble procuring the the materials they need to make the carbon fiber cases, so they are offering to make the black ones at a discount instead.

I agree they are not handling the situation the best but I doubt they have any sort of support staff and it's obvious their systems can't handle the volume of questions and complaints.

A few things to keep in mind if you order a case from them.

1. It may be February before you get it
2. They are not trying to rip you off they just can't scale up production fast enough.
3. The product is really awesome. I have one and the car mount, it is legit. That is why everyone wants one and why they are having issues meeting that demand.

People change phones more often and go for newer versions. So, we might get case just before another release.
I did pre-order this case on Nov 4.

If I am not mistaken didn't they start shipping those out on the 13th? Not saying that you don't have the right to be upset I would too.

Well it turned out they did not ship it.

Their reply:

After receiving the feedbacks from XDA forum, we recalled all rest Twill inventory and did a second checking out on the camera cutout. With another strict checking, we got only a few to ship out to our customers. That why it ran out at a fast speed.

I must have been super lucky I got a carbon colored one about 2 weeks ago and it is perfect. It did take a long time though ordered it back in October and didn't get it until the week before Thanksgiving. I also got the wireless charging car mount.

If anyone has any questions, wants specific picture or video, about the case or the car mount let me know.

In case that someone is interested, a little update from me.
After several open cases, I finally got an answer saying that my original ordered black/grey twill case is no longer available and they offered me the plain one and a 20% cash back.
I said yes, got a tracking number the next day but for my original ordered one ... !?
72 hours later, as my shipping status was unchanged " No result found for your DHL query " I reach out again, this is the answer :

"Also please kindly be noted that since your parcel is just been dispatched and the carrier's warehouse is being over-loaded, it may take longer time to update the shipping status. Hopefully, it will soon get delivered to you and thanks a lot for your kind patience"

Contacted DHL, the package is NOT in their possession, only the shipping label was created.
It seems that I am not the only one in this situation, there are many other complaints on their silent facebook page.
Bottom line, order placed 21 days ago, not yet shipped, horrible, lying, customer support.

PS: Just noticed that my facebook post on Pitaka's page was deleted along with other comments.
Also, I've asked, twice on their site why my order was not shipped, the question was never published or answered...

What's the latest?

Hey peeps, after reading the initial review, I was ready to hand Pitaka my money, but glad I scrolled through the 11 pages of posts. What's the latest update on: 1) cutout alignment - Has it been fixed? Can someone post photos? 2) backorder situation - If I order one today, _realistically_ when will I get it? (Canada)

If a rep from Pitaka could also answer the above questions, it would be much appreciated. I really do want one of these cases for my Note 8, but only if these issues have been addressed. Thanks!

The cutout on the back has been fixed. They sent me a correct replacement fast. I think they have so many orders right now. You will have to check the website. But to me it's worth the wait. If you really read the posts it's only like 2 or 3 people that have had problems.
