I'm using 9.5.1 now and I'm loving it. The only issue I have is dual apps not working.

Hi, I would like to try this rom on my redmi note 5 (Whyred). Now I have the Evolution X and fw 8.1, what are the steps for a correct installation?
Is the firmware included in the rom?
Do I have to do "format data" too?

Wipe data/factory reset, wipe /system
flash Revolution OS
reboot, setup
enjoy

No, firmware isn't included and no need to format data unless you have some specific problem.

Hello, can you please tell me the ARB of your redmi phone ?
This is because my redmi has ARB 4, and I've already hard bricked it once by flashing an alleged ARB free ROM, and I really don't want to go trough that nightmare again, if I flash Revolution OS.

Thanks a lot. And even having ARB 4, you've flashed Rev OS 9.5.1 for redmi whyred and you had no issues, am I right ?
(sorry for being a pain in the neck, but I REALLY don't want to hard brick my redmi whyred again )

Some said dont take PBR for update pie .
i dont try yet because Oreo is more stable until now

Because i did I try the 9.4.18 beta version of MIUI (on which this is based) and I couldn't turn the screen horizontally, do you know if the thing is possible here or the same bug is present?

Hey I've been using it since 2days. And no I didn't notice any such bug. Hope this helps

I used TWRP recovery as always.
