Wrong person... Sorry

---------- Post added at 05:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 AM ----------

As requested
Your first pic clearly shows your IMEI. I'd remove that one or doctor the pic so that it isn't showing... Just a suggestion...

Infact they all kinda do, the other ones are just darker, but you can still zoom in and see it..

Sorry for the delay in posting pics of the crash guard, last couple of days were busy and I had no spare phone to take pictures.

The RhinoShield Crash Guard fits really well and for now that's going to be my daily bumper.
The XtremeSkins are ok and the installation is fairly easy of you stick to the guidelines.
I didn't do a clean install, but as I'm doing a couple of trailruns next week (lots of sweat, probably rain & snow) and the phone is going to be in my tail-vest, I'm just going to install the spare skin afterwards.

Got a replacement. Took super long. Shipping is really taking it's time with them.

But to the topic:
The replacement is exactly like the first CrashGuard I got, blocking the front cam, there's a small shade visible at the bottom of every picture. It's a little less pronounced than with the first product, but it's still there. Otherwise it fits fine and feels really durable. But since it has an impact on the phones functionality... I definitely CANNOT RECOMMEND the RhinoShield CrashGuard on the OnePlus 7t pro (McLaren).

I just added the requested pictures. Make your own opinion. If you take a close look you can see a slit between the case and the phone right beneath the front cam, I guess that's the problem. But since it occured with the replacement as well... In the zip file are pictures taken with the front cam while the CrashGuard is on the phone (didn't want to reduce quality)

Just received mine yesterday & FWIW, I checked the FFC just for comparison, after I read your posts...
It wouldn't bother me if my FFC pix had this issue, so..... you guessed it, I don't have the obstruction/blurred effect.

I have the slit/gap as well (can see part of the speaker grill) but, mine is not bowed, the contour on that edge is consistent.

Unfortunately, you just defied the odds of getting two defective bumpers. Based on previous experience working in an injection molding shop, one of (likely) two things are causing the problem.

1) A small bit of plastic on the inside edge of the case is present, basically leakage, or called "flash".
This can usually be trimmed away w/o affecting fit or finish, using an X-acto knife.

2) The bowing effect you're experiencing may also be the result of the molding parameters not being set properly, or needed tweaking, (such as injection mold temperature/cycle time/cooling time/bumper hanging in the mold when ejecting/etc.....) & your case was boxed up & shipped before the QA personnel noticed the issue.

At 1st,I was thinking that it may be the phone's FFC itself, perhaps it wasn't fully extended, but, after seeing your pix of the bumper on the phone, it's evident that the problem lies with the bumper.

I realize all of this does little to solve the problem, but, wanted to post to assure you that it is indeed the case.

Ready for RMA #2, or, gonna seek a refund from Rhinoshield?

Thank you for your tips.
I found that if I change the picture format to fullscreen it isn't as bothersome, maybe the phone is not using the full sensor then. I think I can live with it that way...
However the pictures from stetre show the same bow and gap between phone and bumper, both versions (from different LOTs) I received as well, so I guess it's a flaw by design. Don't think another RMA will succeed so I'll just take it...

I found out that the reflection at the bottom of the picture is really bad when a source of light is right in front of the phone. It's so bothersome that I guess I'll return the CrashGuard...
