Ring Movement

Just wondering how much movement people have on the outer ring. Not twisting but in out. Mine moves quite a bit and makes it feel 'cheap'.

I would say you have an issue mine is nice and snug no movement what so ever

Mine doesn't really move that way either. Could be a little more solid but I'm splitting hairs really. Sounds like yours may have an issue if it really moves a noticeable amount in the wrong way.

take your gear s2 back to where it was purchased from as this is probably a manufacturing fault or just wear and tear

Thanks all device is being returned. Its frustrating shops don't stock them in the UK so you can go try one as a comparison.

I'm a bit late to the party, but mine is also tight and only moves rotationally. Very good fitment and does not at all feel cheap. OP, good luck getting a replacement, hopefully there's another in stock for you.
