has anyone else noticed that with the latest update Angry Birds locks the screen orientation [like navigation]?

also does the update or the modem affect the rotation? as today i have updated to the newest update and upgraded my modem to JV1. before i did these i had no problems with Angry Birds locking the rotation.

hi, after lurking on this thread for some time, i'd like to give some feedback

1) keep up your good work, guys!

2) coming from romkitchen i flashed 20110225, then updated to JV1 modem, then upgraded to 20110302.
a) battery drain is WAY better with 0302/JV1 (i dont use wifi tough, only 3G)
b) RIL-problem seems to be solved, too. as mentioned before, the phone connects after boot to 3g without lock/unlock.

3) so a big thank you for all cm-devs, but of course special thanks to the magic work of coolya&codeworks.

Loving CM7 so far..been running it 48 hours and am now on the latest update (20110302). Can I ask a couple of questions though:

1) I notice that my battery percentage seems to jump around a fair bit. Last night I was at 7%, so I put it on charge. I put the phone to sleep, woke it back up and the lockscreen told me I was on 53%...all in a few seconds!

I fully charged the phone overnight. Woke up this morning, rebooted the phone into CWM and cleared the battery stats. Within a few minutes it told me I was down to 83%.

Is this a known problem, and will there be a possible fix?

2) Phone does not shut down when plugged into a charger...it will only reboot. Is this known?

3) Are there updated Kernels available that might incorporate Voodoo sound? If so where could I find them. If not, will they be?

Thanks for now geezers...great job and THANKS for putting Vanilla on my handset!

1. just do some charge cycles (use it untill it turns off by it self)
2. yes, and it is not an issue
3. yes, search this thread a bit, but it doesn't seem to work (for me and some people here) it works, you need to have voodoo app and voodoo control app.

2. Yes, it's a known issue
3. Yes, look trough previous page (though those aren't *official*)

Oh, I don't think anyone can tell you why this is. I really don't think anyone else but you has a yellowish screen. But of course, you would know this just as well as me if you would care to read. -.-

The screen is yellowish, as like as Nexus S on 2.3.3. It seems not to be an issue but more an enhancement to default color temperature. I think they will revert some changes about it.

As far as I can tell the colour temperature has been changed to a warmer colour. Whilst the change is a little odd at the moment, I believe that it's made the colours a lot cleaner and more realistic...especially greens.

Let's be honest here, not many people like change at the best of the time...we dont like 'different' as a general rule of thumb. I honestly dont mind the change, and think that we'll all get to use to it after a while.

Yes, it's a little more yellow than before, but I think it's ok.

Now, if we could get a display as good as, or better than the iphones' retina display...that would be something!

and like I wrote before:

use the Voodoo Control App for everything else and the Voodoo App for the headphone amp

so you need 2 apps (little annoyance) but at least everything works :D

    Don't make any feature requests!

    INFORMATIONS

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,

    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Ultimate Kernel Cleaning Script - 1.0

Since many users have complained about phone instability after flashing another kernel, I decided to make a Recovery Script to clean everything may cause instability.
As we know also zach made something like this, but his script deletes only init.d config files while many problems are generated by cache and dalvik-cache waste files.

So here I am with the Ultimate Kernel Cleaning Script.

    HOW TO:

    - Place the zip file in your internal SDCARD
    - Flash it as a normal package from ClockworkMOD recovery
    - Flash any kernel (zach's, tkglitch's or bilboa's)
    - Reboot

Everytime you need to change/re-flash a kernel, just apply this before :)

    DOWNLOAD:

It could be a good think to add this to OP :) Thank you so much :)

To be sure that the script won't touch anything you probability don't want to, here is the update-script:

    speedmod-kernel-k12n-500hz.tar is included in cm7-galaxys-initial-package.zip.
it's just for the efs backup. the kernel will go away after this.
