AICP
Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

SAME AS CM14.1

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy . You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

How to flash:

Code:

* require : Android N and TWRP HONOR 8 already installed on your device !
* this build does not contain Gapps ;
* go to TWRP -> Wipe -> Swipe to Factory Reset !
* Install AICP-12.1 for Honor 8 !
* ( If you want to install Gapps, you should install it at the same time with Aicp-12.1 - check add more zips ! ) 
* Enjoy !

Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

Nice to see more development going on. Your post mentions lollipop a lot, I assume it's just an editing error from copy & pasting. Am I correct in assuming this is Android 7.1 for all FRD devices? Also, for known issues, you cite the same issues as CM14.1 official. If that's the case, then can we assume the FPS (Fingerprint Sensor), Camera, and GPS work?

Also there's nothing mentioned about which TWRP to use. Does it matter?

EDIT: Reset phone, installed AICP ROM, couldn't flash Gapps (incompatible version, redflag already), tried to boot phone and stuck on ROM logo for 15 minutes.

EDIT2: Downloaded and flashed again, waited 10 minutes, still won't boot. Phone is FRD-L04.

EDIT3: Confirmed ROM does not work on my device, no matter what I try. Which device did the developers test on?

Thanks .. It was build from the same device ,vendor and kernal trees Of cm14.1 . it should work on all models that cm14.1 works and the typo will be corrected , it was the common XDA template used since lollipop so it might the thing . there were few things left to work in the rom .would request u to wait for the new build.

I encountered the same problem on my FRD-L04.

U will find the build in the folder. In future only the dates in the thread title will be changed and the 3rd post for change log changes in timely manner since I was maintaining as many Roms for 5x , it would be a bit harder to update all the links each time . Upnext once we had a stable build , I will move my hosting to Android file host which we will have few more test Roms (we have 50+ N based roms in github , probably we will try to have all those sequentially upon this project success) . Hope everyone will bare with me !! THANKYOU

I did a factory reset so I'm not sure why ROM version matters. But I've tried from CM13 and CM14. I'll retry from stock in the morning.

Since there is a build of resurrection remix here .. I wil use the same sources to search for an outcome . but we are not going to leave this here ! Please have patience

I think as this is a new phone and as the development for this phone is relatively new I think that everybody needs to be patient.
I'm sure you will work out what the issues are.
I just think that it's great that the ROMs for this phone are starting to stack up.

Thank you !! I was already working on it . This device is a bit typical but things are slowly settling down . We will have a new build in next few hours . Get ready for the feast

That is exactly what I thought might happen with this Honor 8.
Soon as you guys suss out what's different there will be loads to choose from.
Have you though if sharing your work on the Modaco Honor 8 site.?
They have a template on there for building custom ROMs
It might help answer some questions

I will do the same for Honor 8 too . Only thing is ,if surdu could fix all the bugs we will have as many official builds . Till then ,We should keep adjusting for non posted unofficial builds in my androidfilehost .
