May I Ask here?? - ViperOneM9 3.5.0 Issue after SU Binary Update??

Hi Everyone...

Haven't been here in a while...busy with work and family. I see there is a new ViperOneM9 ROM version and I have been SUPER happy and stable with my VipeOne v3.5 ROM but had an issue this morning.

After being prompted by SuperSU Free and updating my SU Binary, I cannot make OUTGOING calls

I posted my issue in the SuperSU forum, however, thought someone here might have an answer to my problems....?

Another auto hide issue... Fyi I did a clean install with wipe. I've disabled auto hide but I'm still having issues in text messages, or really any where the keyboard pops up. Basically there is still a black bar above the keyboard where the navigation bar would be that prevents me from seeing the text or hitting send. I've tried different keyboards, turning on and off auto hide, and trying sock vs venom nav bar...
Also have noticed an issue in the stock gallery where if I try to hide or unhide albums nothing happens

FWIW, I was also perfectly happy on 3.5, and then I too had an SU binary update that hosed my phone.
Suddenly, programs like Tasker and Secure Settings would no longer function, and I couldn't install any new apps through Google Play.

I wrestled with it for a few days, wiping cache and Dalvik with no luck.
In the end, I just updated my firmware and moved to 4.3.

My only regret is that I can't underclock/undervolt in 4.3 with the stock kernel, and an updated ElementalX kernel hasn't been released for Sprint M9's yet.

I'm sort of confused here. I have the AT&T M9.
VenomRoms.com says

What carriers are supported:

Since 4.3.0 all carriers are supported now, besides AT&T. Those can just choose “Default” in Aroma.

Does this mean 4.3.0 isn't compatible with AT&T or to use the Default selection in Aroma? I believe it could be worded a bit clearer.

Also for the firmware, I notice AT&T does not have a 3.35.x or 3.39.x firmware. Only TMobile and International have those firmwares found here.

In short, the latest firmware I see for AT&T is 2.11.502.18, but the Rom requires 3.35.x or 3.39.x. So no Rom for AT&T?

To use for AT&T you will need to load the WWE firmware from Sneaky's firmware thread and then select default during ROM install I believe. Not sure what features AT&T is running these days but things like VoLTE and such usually don't work when you're using the international firmware so be prepared for that.

And harass your carrier on social media to quit screwing around and release the update already.

Guys firstly thanks for this amazing ROM and all the features you added to it, bought a PRO key a few weeks back to show my support. But I have one question though, what's up with maxim1187 display panel? There are two panels for the M9 and devices with maxim1187 are having problems with the Back, Home and Recents buttons not being aligned making it very annoying. Do you have any idea what's up? Maybe a firmware issue or something like that? Any help to narrow this down would be highly appreciated.

Exact same issue, exact same resolution except I'm having nav bar issues with 4.3 have to rotate the screen back and forth several times until I can see the send button on xda app, messages, f2f, etc...

Was so excited about 4.3 .. gave it a try and this new version still has issues with international Data Roaming on tmobile. But I was like oh well no wifi calling, will just just flash on default but no worky. Can't find sim ... I really really really want to use this ROM. But I travel a lot and need data roaming. Oh well... maybe one day..

Did you ever bother checking and comparing your APN to stock ROM?

EDIT: Disregard this post. It's Handcent. I remembered that I had to install Handcent "Next" to replace the Handcent I had on Lollipop, just tried a different messaging app and now I'm sending 3mb MMS with no problems. So it WAS kind of caused by switching to Marshmallow, but not directly.

I noticed a weird issue with MMS yesterday, and after playing with it more today, I have a better idea of what's happening, but not why. I have T-Mobile, and before Marshmallow I could send MMS just over 1mb in size (biggest I ever tried was 1.1mb). Now, anything over 300kb won't go through, even though Venom Tweaks and my messaging app are both set to allow up to 1mb. However, I can still receive large MMS files, I had my buddy send me some and the biggest was 2021kb, which is over 2mb. So, is anyone else having this issue, or does anyone have any ideas about how I might fix it?

Considering the issue didn't start until I went to 4.3.0, it was a perfectly reasonable assumption that it *might* have something to do with the ROM. I posted my issue, and asked if anyone else was experiencing it. The whole reason for that was to help determine whether it was, in fact, a ROM issue, or if I could rule out the ROM as the cause. There was no need for such a snarky reply, particularly AFTER I had already edited my post to state that I had solved the issue and that it WASN'T a problem with the ROM. If you're a **** to people who are trying to solve their issues (and you quite often are, based on several of your previous posts I've seen in this and other threads), if you have an issue in the future that one of them may have a solution for, they'll remember that, and may decide not to help. I get it, it's fun to be an Internet Tough Guy, and sometimes it IS warranted (I.E: ETA and update requests, etc), but not always. Don't be a jerk.

The only simple causes I can imagine would be that an o like "Oscar" instead of a 0 "Zero" has been used as the beginning of the file name (it needs to be 0PJAIMG instead of OPJAIMG), or that the SD isn't formatted to fat32 and at max 32 GB in size (or extfat in case of an already installed 3.x firmware).

But I'd guess you already know about those an looked into them already.

So no further idea
