Just something I noticed. When using the program to backup and transfer your apps+data to a new rom, because the rom is identified as a samung omnia 7, installing apps from other manufacturers (e.g. nokia music) will not work as you will not have access to the nokia markeplace. This can cause the backup program to freeze and so you will need to restart it and make sure it skips any apps from other manufacturers. I also had this problem for gmaps pro, which I had purchased but it is asking me to buy it again as a result i didn't install it causing it to freeze again.

I have a query... It's possible to submit in Store the "Clock Hub" for WP8 ? ... It's very nice style and i like the mix between HTC Hub, Calendar and Battery Level ... more than HTC Hub

edit: i have a problem with nokia cam xtras that not install
You have to uninstall the cooked in version first, then download the newer version from the marketplace.

htc location of works flawlessly
It works because of the new unlock V4 by ultrashot, but apps like the HTC Hub need some more drivers (=> live tile)....

If the HTC Hub is fully working on this rom has to be tested.
The Samsung Now Hub live tile doesn´t work on this rom, maybe because of the new WP 7.8 tile system.

HTC Connected Media works without drivers.
Nokia Contact Share starts but doesn´t send vcards...

Use Program Manager.xap or WP Device Manager to uninstal it...

you may try to deploy camera extra xap into your phone with tom xap deployer. tick uninstall, click deploy, then immediately close the deployer, it the pre-installed camera extra app should be uninstalld at the time

Very complicated method.
Just use Program Manager and remove the xap on device as mentioned by poloche

WPBackup v1.0
WPBackup is an application to save information from your device and move it
to another ROM.
Supported "zones":- Contacts, SMS, schedule
- My Documents (except Zune collection)
- Bing Maps
- Keyboard dictionary
- WiFi access points passwords.

(!) WPBackup requires:- Windows Mobile Device Center

BACKUP
Before you continue, you may want to make a backup of your device for in case something goes wrong. You can do this with the update tools, but I use a separate tool to have more control over the backup-process. This is what I do to make a backup:
- Download CabSender
It is from xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender thread. - Use Zune 4.8 final (4.8.2345.0).
- Setup-UpdateWP 4.8 beta 3 from the archive.
- Extract the "Tools" folder from the archive.
- Setup the Backup tool to reference Zune.exe and the UpdateWP.exe in the extracted Tools-folder.
- Create your backup.
- The backup app will allow you to archive any previous backup.
- Your phone will restart and go in Download-mode.
- When the backup is finished, the app will tell you to disconnect.
Even though your phone says you still can't disconnect, you can safely disconnect the phone and it will restart.
INSTALL WP7 UPDATE TOOLS
- First make sure you have Zune 4.8 final (build 4.8.2345.0)
- Download the WP7_update_tool.rar and install the UpdateWP package for your platform (x86 or x64). This is version 4.8.2134.0.
- Download the WP7 Update Cab Sender.zip from xboxmod and extract it. This also contains a patched version of UpdateWP.exe which will work with Zune 4.8 final.
INSTALL THE UPDATE PACKAGES
- Copy all the CAB files you downloaded to the folder where you extracted xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender. The CAB's should be in the same folder as the BAT-file.
- Run the batch-file and press 'S'.
- Your device will reboot and start in download-mode.
- You'll see progress on the screen of your desktop, but it may take more than 10 minutes before your WP7 device is starting to show a progress-bar, even for small updates. That's normal, because the device is scanning for installed packages and performing merges.
- When the update is ready, your device will be rebooted again and it will boot Windows Phone with new version and or custom packages.
