with touch kernel

i must say that with V5-touch kernel the problem is the battery drain too fast when i use the phone. the phone drains about 2% in 8 hours, with the phone in stand by and 10% in other 3 hours with few calls and data trafic.
PS: 748/480 smartass gov

Getting a bunch of FCs and a lot of apps not able to read SD card ... pretty weird ...
If u try LG stock Gingerbread u'll probably have the same issues from what I've read in the forum, so it's not a rom-related thing ;) It sucks though, I know :/ Can't use my Bible, dictionary, etc hehe

Funny thing is all was fine till a few days ago ... now can't even do basic things like listen to music (winamp does not find SD card and FC) ... same with basic music player ... painful ...

wondering what to do now ... stuck on the new baseband so not too many choices

Have you done some update on the kernel side?? Or wiped cache / Dalvik-cache??

I use the stock rom + root + V5 Paolo's kernel with oc at 729/245 smoothass and work like a charm without any problems... i try all the custom roms of 2.3.3... some garbage all of them...

Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App

Funny but true ... I generally cook my own ... Not that ppl would appreciate it ... but just a deoxed zipaligned rom with a decent theme ... and no other funny business ... get a decent o/c kernel and let it be ... no bugs and decent performance ... At least I dont have to keep flashing day in and day out ....

@Samhain77 My lock screen went kinda weird after flashing one of the zips. A piece (about half, the half that only shows when i pull the bar to unlock/mute) of the unlock/sound bars turned into a very light gray color, different from the normal color. Any ideas why that might have happened? :p

1. dalvik.vm.heapsize=** is completely missing from build.prop!?!?! Was this on purpose??

2. most of your tweaks were taken from Noejn void/devoid, you should probably give him credit.

Thanks, but I think I'll pass.

edit - I see you set the dalvik heapsize in a boot script... stttrrrraaannngggeee

I removed because I found sometimes it doesn't apply and applying it from a boot script it's easy to change with something script that maybe I'll add in the future...

Most of my script are taken on all the android communities over the net... most of them have been modified by me other are taken from the whole XDA forum or other forums... I should thank God that internet exists ;)

No problem, I'll survive... :p
