@Osprey00 There are like a bazillion different versions of 6.1 gcam under this link. Can You specify witch version You used?

Sorry. I did mention a version somewhere, but it must've been a different post. Just download the latest (top-most) one. If, for whatever reason, that doesn't work, try the latest one that starts with "MGC." I think that they all work, just with tiny differences. I don't recall if I prefer any one over another.

Update from Pie to LOS 17.1

Dear members, since yesterday I´m trying to update to LineagOS-17.1 Rom without success.
At the moment I have the H93031a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1105.zip from seadersn installed

I started with the guide in post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81770855&postcount=1885 and got into a bootloop.
Several other methods described here in the H930 forums also didn´t work.
Flashed the stock pie H93031a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1105.zip and the the H930_22j_partitiondl_modem_00024.img from the Telegram Update Chanel and then wiped again and installed the LOS17.1, NikGapp-core-arm64 and Magisk 20.4.
I also tried the Kernel-Sepolicy-Patcher. Nothing worked.
TWRP 3.3.1

Am I missing something? a helping hint is very much appreciated.
p.s. I never installed through kdz, always with flashable zip files from seadersn.

After the first flash (only with factory reset) there was some dialpad where I could enter a emergency number. But shortly after the phone went into a bootloop again.
Then I completly erased everything and it´s just looping now.
I use the link from the first post, which is lineage-17.1-20200205
thx

I have tried the method you mentioned here, but when I unninstal the device RNDIS from my computer, I dont have pop up window with a box to tick 'delete drivers'. Windows is saying that RNDIS device has no drivers!!!
So when I uninstall it, then I restart my USB tethering, it just appears again as RNDIS device with "yellow !" and I can try multiple times its always the same result like that. Pls help, I need USB tethering :( thank you

Can you force an installation of different drivers? (with method decribed in the part you quoted, just skip the deleting part)

@SGCMarkus I've been using the 0421 test build for almost the last 4 weeks. During the first 2 weeks, I missed my alarm 3 times because the phone went silent (and stayed silent, unable to produce any sound at all in any app, until I rebooted). That never happened with a previous build, so I looked up the changes to build.prop that you made to try to address audio issues. I decided to set persist.mm.enable.prefetch back to false, saved and rebooted. Since then, and it's been about a week and a half, the problem hasn't reoccurred yet. I can't be sure if that setting is to blame, because I can't duplicate the issue without just waiting for it to happen, but I've waited long enough that it looks like it could be.

Edit: Nope. The problem reoccurred this morning, so it's not that setting. I'll keep testing.

It doesn't find any drivers, and if it installs something, its just the same.

Okay guys. I have a couple of issues with this ROM. This is my first custom ROM ever and I'm not experienced in this field, so pls dont flame me for being stupid, I know I am hahah
I have installed the magisk hideprops, busybox and immersive navigation bar for the Magisk.

I can install Netflix from playstore, but I can't play anything. It just gets stuck on the loading screen for the show when I click a title. I haven't still found the same issue as mine anywhere.
My USB tethering is not working.
I can install banking apps, but it just exits them when I try to run them and it says to me that the app is unable to run on a rooted device (even tho i have activated that Magisk hide stuff)
When I connect my Bluetooth playback device (headphones or speaker) in a running youtube app, it always freezes for couple of seconds, and crashes 80% of the time.
My phone gets hot while charging, never did thst prior to installing custom rom.
When I have media playing on play music, I have screen off gestures of stoping and skipping tracks even tho I have disabled those in the settings. Its quite annoying when in pocket it randomly skips track.

There may be some more minor bugs, but I can't remeber them now.
If anyone knows how can I fix any of these, it would be awesome. I have tried some foxes for USB tethering, mainly the one from the Q/A here, but it doesn't work, I can't seem to find any LGE drivers to install on my computer.
Thank you.
And if there is an Official version of Pie or Android 10 anywhere, I would be grateful if you could direct me to it. Bcs of these bugs, I'm thinking of going back to stock even tho I like the rest of this ROM.

You had to be on stock Pie first to install this ROM or you will have tons of issues. What firmware were you on before you installed this ROM?

Yes, we have "official" Pie KDZ and TWRP-flashable zips (ROMs based on KDZ) for most major variants. What variant do you have?

I was on the latest software for H930 - stock pie. Not sure about exact build numbers. But it is unlocked European model, so I guess I was on the latest build

OK. For H930, if you want to go back to EU H930 Pie stock firmware, see TWRP flashable zip in this thread:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/h930-lg-v30-european-market-t3951898

Thanks to our Devs, we have TWRP flashable zips (ROMs) for all major variants built from stock image KDZ.

I have made a backup file while I was still on stock rom to the SD card. Could I use that?
Is it a TWRP recovery backup file? If so, yes. You can boot into TWRP and restore that file.

If not, then just flash the zip file I pointed you to, and reflash Magisk. It's like flashing a ROM but it's stock firmware. You'll still be rooted, you'll have DTS Surround Stereo, etc.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Code:
    #include "std_disclaimer.h"
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

    So... thanks for waiting

I have a "small" update for you... its Lineage OS 17. Its still in early alpha phase, dont except all ROM side features to work, many might even crash your SystemUI or whatever.
Got all the major stuff fixed which i could think of, if you notice any DEVICE SPECIFIC (audio routes, mic issues, and so) issues, report them WITH a logcat + dmesg.

    Known issues:
    1) For some people wifi doesnt turn on (no known solution to me atm), for others wifi turns on fine, but scanning fails, those NEED to flash the OREO modem partition for their model, for whatever reasons... (I had trouble with that for weeks, since working with pie blobs, 2 phones, same model, same firmware, one has issues, other doesnt... weird af)
    2) Magisk will not work, as it isnt able to deal with the new System-as-root implementation by Android 10 (tell when that should change)
    3) FM is still missing from sources, so thats not included, yet
    4) gapps are... in an early stage atm, dont expect everything to work there yet either (and not all will work)
    5) device fingerprint isnt override properly by the device tree YET, therefor safety net and so will fail. Currently its generated by the aosp build system

Requirements: you NEED to be on pie firmware (except, when having wifi issues, flash back oreo modem as mentioned earlier), otherwise things like camera/sensors, or model detection (or dual sim detection for H930D/DS users) wont work.

Also: Please, please, please, dont dirty flash, thanks.

Any current TWRP will work fine.

    Changelog 19.09.19:
    - Updated to LOS 17
    - Used H930DS 30b blobs (september security patch)
    - Kernel sources at 4.4.153 (H930DS 30e), and CAF at LA.UM.7.4.r1-5400

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    Q. Can this ROM be flashed through TWRP?
    A. Yes, proceed with the latest TWRP image

    Q. Sounds good. How can I contribute to project?
    A. Test the build as much as you can and report bugs which can be reproduced with exact steps and are not random.

    Q. How to disable "Apps running in background" dialog?
    A. When you see the dialog, long press on it and select "Settings". From there, you'll have a toggle to disable it.

    Q. Which Models are supported?
    A. So far it works well on the H930(G/D/DS), US998, VS996 and LS998. H932 works too, use the .zip for that model. Other devices may bootloop.

    Q. Help, my H931/H933 is bootlooping!
    A1. For H931 please go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/running-h930-aosp-rom-us998-converted-t3889320
    A2. For H933 please go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78183349&postcount=2

    Q. USB Tethering isnt working!!!!
    A. Make sure you have the correct drivers installed.
    Try this: open device manager:
find the RNDIS (thats what it was called for me), or some other device similar to that name, with a probably yellow !

right click: uninstall drivers (and tick delete drivers)
    restart usb tethering
then you have an "unknown device", right click
    install driver
    search on pc
    select from list
search for LG Electronics as manufacturer
and then on right side select "LGE AndroidNet Remote NDIS Device"
    17
I know its been a while, and I hope you like this update :)
The Lineage Source is still not complete, there are some source bugs here and there (what ive been told network usage in statusbar doesnt work).

PS: Dont even think about dirty flashing, i mean, you can try, but dont report bugs then :p
