What is oos vendor?

Oss from what very little info that is available, is a custom vendor meaning if a rom is using oss it's baked in with the rom and doesn't rely on Xiaomi, no more flashing MIUi vendor firmware files on that rom.
I heard about this rumour than some custom roms are switching to oss to get ready for Android 11 and on Android dev website we get this message 'Caution: If you are not a developer but you want to try Android 11, please wait a little longer - we're expecting to open Android Beta enrollments in the next several weeks.'

I like this ROM. Good to have even less xiaomi stuff onboard with OSS vedor. No bugs, sometimes camera is black for me that's all, not too often. FOD is great on my EEA device, where most ROMs are useless for me
