Zero news. You might have better luck reaching out to the OP about this. I haven't heard anything else about it ever since.

I would also suggest looking into the Nanodroid thread and use the packages there to patch this ROM. If I remember correctly, LineageOS should already have signature spoofing built-in, you just have to flash the microG package and enable it with the right Android 10 permissions using ADB commands. I don't use this ROM so I can't tell you for sure if it'll work, so try it and report back.
Reporting back.

Signature spoofing works. I installed microg from F-Ddroid repo.
There is even some control over which apps can use it, so its even reasonably safe.
Nanodroid version is not working properly.

I managed to get everything working and I am satisfied with current state. But there is room for improvement.

Issues that I had.

  1. Sygic navigation is crashing when accessing microg location service
Solution found somewhere on internet :
    pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

  • SELinux not working by default
    Simple enabling it with :
    su
    setenforce 1
works, but it is not persistent. It won't survive reboot. Currently I am setting this automatically with tasker after reboot. I know there is better way I just don't have time right now to explore it.

I am happy for now. Hopefully there will be updates with this ROM.

That's clearly a fake one.
It doesn't use the usual sourceforge download and the file has a .zip.jar double extension.

Looks like a fake, smells like a trojan ... Be ware!
stop spreading rumors okay? it was a pre-release build & there is a plan to update it with the September security patch.. don't make up your own stories.

I've stayed on Android 10 stock since release mainly for responsiveness and its overall stability. As much as I prefer to do away with GApps and the RUI bloat that it comes with, as long as I have root, Magisk, and EdXposed, I can live with it for now.

But since you say it works, I might give custom ROMs another shot. Can you explain more what you mean by the Nanodroid version not working? Did you mean the patcher package because the microG package is pulled directly from the GitHub source which is typically more up to date than the F-Ddroid releases.

And if you use the Nanodroid package, it has a script that you can run on terminal to grant you all the required microG permissions to get location service working.

There's also this app on F-Droid to set your SELinux automatically after reboot.

Patcher package works fine. Nandroid version had one checkbox unticked with some UNKNOW permission. Not shure what it means. I did not bather to much on figuring that out since i dont like Nanodroid anyway. It gives me to much bloatware in full version, even "only microg" gives some bloatware. I made quick test and after seeing that i just reflashed clean rom. It is possible that NanoDroidPerm script would solve that issue.

I installed Nova launcher and set all animations to fastest, and it feels snappy enough for me.

Thank you for SELinux app, i did not know that such thing exists.

There are other minor issues, but i can live with them.
1. When using fingerprint reader, screen backlight "flashes". It is bit uncomfortable, especially in dark room.
2. In some, verry rare apps, navigation buttons are hidden and they wont open no matter what you do. Lock/unlock screen helps. But in 99% of apps there is no issue.

I use the full Nanodroid package with my other phone and you can skip the 'bloatware' it comes with and choose exactly only what you want if you edit the .nanodroid-setup config file.

There's also MinMicroG as an alternative if you use Magisk.

Anyway, good to know about LineageOS. I don't have those issues you mentioned from using stock, plus I'm not sure how stable GCM for receiving SMS/MMS is with microG (I use Signal), so I think I'll stick with stock for now until when maybe Android 11 is released.

Thanks for the Rom, very stable and working awesome.
Issues I found:
1. "Double Tap to wake up" not working as intended. screen switches on even after switching this off in settings.
2. "Nav bar tuner" not working. System UI Tuner crashes on opening navigation settings. It was not available by default so I tried it using Activity Launcher, but it crashes.
I don't want navigation bar to show up when using keyboard. Please please please provide that option (to hide it forever).
3. Back gesture doesn't work over keyboard. First I have to either close keyboard (using button present on nav. bar) or use it from above the keyboard.
4. Bottom-most bar present at home screen shows in recents too.
(May be lineageOS has it but this makes it difficult to navigate)
5. No internet speed indicator in status bar.
6. No indicator for "today's data usage". ( although you can see it by : network and internet » sim » app data usage » settings icon » app data usage cycle » set date to current date)
7. Protected apps do not have option "lock again only when device is locked again". (Does lineage generally provide this?)
9. SELinux is set to pemissive

Everything else is working awesome. These issues are so small that even if no one corrects them, i will keep using this Rom. MicroG works like charm with it. Google Cam is also present (without root). Like this Rom is a badass. Thanks Devs, thanks alot.

and a question:
will sidebar and floating windows be applied anytime in future ?
is there any APK for them or anything? I miss these two, these were present in ColorOS.

Is there an accompanying app to control MaxxAudio settings?

Is there a screen recorder built in anywhere in the OS?

I dirty flashed the new version ( that is not recommended !) . No problem at all and it seems that the fingerprints is quicker than ever :)
Thank you karthick !

I think that dirty flashing shouldn't be discouraged, at least within the same major/minor version (which is 17.1 as of now).
Unless @karthick mostwanted has reasons for doing so.
I am also dirty flashing since July and have got no extra issue that wasn't already there...
