this is a good rom overall i quite like it but the camera issues kinda break it, sometimes it force closes when switching modes or flipping between the front and back camera and then i get the "camera disconnected" error and it only get resolved after a reboot. is that a known issue?

First of all, thank you very much for the great work. My A5 has been reborn after installing this rom.

The fact is that I have version 6.2 installed and I just saw the 6.3 update available and I wonder if I can flash it directly or if it is necessary to do some wipe (beyond making a previous backup just in case)

Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my newbie question

Just install it directly, you don't need to wipe anything. It may also be necessary to manually reflash magisk after the update completes if you use magisk

Good rom. I would like to ask if it is possible in some way to increase the volume of the multimedia speaker and also in the video recordings with the camera, I personally use Dolby apk, and for the video recording opencamera changing options / video / raw audio source but it generates a lot of white noise for me. Could it be adjusted from build.prop, mixer_gains / mixer_paths or some way? Thank you ;)

    Hi everyone,

I'm using latest crDroid and am very happy with it. The only downside I see is that VoLTE is not available on my firmware/ROM.

My provider is Telefonica/o2 Germany, which has VoLTE enabled. It must be missing in my firmware version.

Can anybody suggest how that can be done? Is it sufficient to flash a partition with TWRP with a VoLTE-enabled backup from another phone where it is working? I would prefer not to do a complete reflash and reset of the whole phone for getting that to work.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, AOSP ROMs such as Lineage/crDroid/etc don't support VoLTE on Samsung Exynos devices like our(s).
If you want to use VoLTE, you will have to use a stock-based ROM like HadesRom, koreasRom or Rise-Q. Or stick to stock Oreo.
    Greetings from germany!

Was the storage issue actually ever adressed? Last time I installed this ROM I had the same problems as the person a few posts before (Aurora Store/F-Droid/Browsers not being able to access internal storage).

Hi, I really love the rom, thank you. AVG finds malware in Messaging app. Also something seems to slow the device down, making the speaker ''crackle'' when listening to music or talking to assistant so I tried disabling battery optimization, to no avail.

First of all, the messages app definitely isn't malware, sounds like AVG is reporting incorrectly there. Second, you can fix the speaker crackle by disabling microphone permission for the Google app, however then you won't be able to talk to assistant

For those who update from an older build: Make sure to wipe /system before installation to prevent possible issues.

Please also consider looking at the changelog here and the updated buglist in the first post.

For those of you who use the ProjectRise kernel: Please note that the "official" version from the thread wont work correctly on this build of crDroid.
For those who still want to use the kernel, download the right version from one of the links below. Only use this version on the latest crDroid build.

Uploaded new builds to GDrive and AFH. I changed some things in the 18/07/2020 build which were not needed afterwards and introduced random reboots and partially broke GPS.
The main "fixes" for the new build from today (25/07/2020) are that those changes have been reverted. If you want to install the new build, you should first boot to recovery, make a backup of /system, wipe /system and then install the new build to come around possible issues that could be introduced by dirty flashing.

Due to the reverted changes, you dont need to use the ProjectRise kernel from this thread anymore if you want to use ProjectRise. Use the one from its own thread.

As always, the changelog can be found here.
Downloads can be found in the fist post under the "Downloads"-section.
