Thanks for sharing that writeup! Following up though, it doesn't explain why the rom uses the blobs from the beta and not the stable oos. Are the blobs not available or am I missing something here?
there is not much diff in blobs from beta 3 to stable (probably 1 or 2 files) so wasn't worth updating em.

Hi all!

First of all, ROM is great, I am very satisfied with it, battery usage is good (better than before) and overall is great.

I have three questions,
First is that I don't get notifications for e-mails. I have to open Gmail and then I see if I received any new mail. Any ideas about that?

When I want to update system I have to remove fingerprints etc, because I have to enter password when I start using bootloader - which I don't know?

Notifications. How can I set different notifications for programs (and notification light also)? I want Viber sound for Viber, SMS different sound, Instagram and Gmail (when it will work) different sound, and light also.
I tried Light flow, but It does not work all the time, I guess it is "bugged" since last update (I think 2018).

Thanks for your help and answer.

Best regards,
T

Re: password you don't know... update your TWRP. You should be able to unlock no problem.

Re: Noticiations: Settings > Apps > All Apps > Pick your app > Notifications > Pick the notification channel (at the top) > Set the sound/vibrate > Advanced > Set the LED colour.

Hi,

Many, many thanks for your help.

I solved problem #1 with Gmail, for now it looks like solved.

I just updated TWRP to latest version, so I hope this will resolve my problem #2. Yep, it did. At the moment updating to version of 6/23.

And as I checked settings like you said, there really is option for each application for sound and notification light. I don't know how I haven't seen this before.

Many, many thanks.

Best regards,
T

Don't update twrp to 3.4, backup seems to have issues. 3.3.1 works for me.

I don't think so. WiFi was still using till I restricted WiFi from its settings (see screenshot) and there is " Removed Apps" which shows usage of uninstalled apps. It must be malware. My data :crying: . Is it coming with Deepest ROM?
What you are saying is laughable. It is 99.9% not a malware hahahaha. Reset the stats, reboot. See if it appears again. Our source is open, you can see for yourself. I can assure you we don't ship any malware :silly:

Someone please post the link to a TWRP that is backing up and restoring this ROM successfully. I'd greatly appreciate it! ?

Thanks! With codeworx, is it also necessary to delete the /data/per_boot folder to backup and restore successfully?

Which version of codeworx do you recommend? Have a link?
Ever heard of google? I am not here to do your research for you. I currently use poad's TWRP (here), backup is supposed to work as is, but haven't tested.

Yes, with codeworkx it's also necessary

This workaround only works if you delete the "data/per_boot" folder in TWRP file manager "before" you make a backup and then restore. But, it went fine. Don't have to dirty flash the ROM each time after a restore "to boot"

Anyway, thanks here 2:good:

What is the main diffrence between this one and DerpFest bare?
The bare version's goal is to stay relatively minimal. It is my work of picking features from stable roms on top of aosip. The main version contains Ido's original work and more features. You can try both and choose whatever fits your needs. WARNING: Clean flash when moving between the versions!
