Hi everyone,
I have installed lineage 17.1 on a BAH-W09 and I would like to go back to stock!
Please, is there any solution?
Please, did you informed well before installing LOS 17.1 if you can easily go back to the original stock version ?

Your device it's not based Kirin and there is no easy solution to revert to stock .

Hi,
Yes, I was informed about the difficulty of reverting back to stock.
I just wanted to ask again because maybe someone found a solution for that.
Thanks!

Plenty of guides on flashing stock here, do a search.
I posted a very high level one including filenames that are available out there for download as of the time of this posting.

Step 1 is what you're looking for if you want EMUI 4. Go up to step 5 if you want EMUI 5.

Hi, Surdu! Just curious - are you going to make any more updates to this ROM? thank, jf
Yes, of course I'll do ... for now there is a problem on the side of the internet provider that downgraded me to adsl instead of fiber as I had before , and in this condition it's a bit harder to upload something ... but I'll try a new update in a few weeks with the new May security patch !

You have to go into the system settings and manually assign permissions to the app for it to work. Permission doesn't pop up when you run it so you need to manually do it.
Sorry to keep bothering you but when you say manually assign permissions, are you talking about the install unknown apps permission? The basic permissions are blacked out like on my other device with LOS 17.1. The Vanced Manager worked fine before this recent update. Am I missing something, or are there some other permissions I have to manually set? It just keeps saying error downloading.

He may be talking about
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.name-of-app android.permission.PERMISSION_YOU_WANT_GRANTED

I don't think so, because I don't know what permission(s) is lacking. I couldn't finish the terminal command without knowing what the problem is. I reiterate that everything was fine until the Vanced Manager updated, and now it won't update the corresponding apps. Only thing I can think of is that you have to go to system settings and manually set the Manager to allow installation of unknown apps, which I did long before the Manager updated. I've uninstalled and repeated the same process, with no luck. It's just very strange to me that this is the only device that I'm having this issue with. I do appreciate the response and the time you took to try to help me resolve it, but my other device with LOS 17.1 asks for no permission other than to allow the installation from unknown apps. There's a bug somewhere with the ROM, or more likely the application for this ROM. Thanks again for the response.

You're right, I went a step beyond what he was talking about. If the permissions aren't showing up or available in settings, for whatever reason, then you can try to set them via adb. If they are not actively being blocked you may succeed and you may not. It doesn't take too long to find out.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
