I'm at the latest build (2020-10-26)
and I could'nt make OOS cam work. It just crashed after I confirmed the 'request permission' dialogs.


What is the benefit in the OOS cam app?
I'm pretty happy with the camera app included in LOS, but I read often questions like yours, that's why I wonder.

Even if you use GCAM mod available for Oneplus 7, I am not happy with the results. Selfie camera is really bad and when you use at night the exposure is not balanced like original oxygen camera.

I had very bad results with arnova's gcam but using Urnyx05 version 2.4 creates excellents shots. :good: anyway better than OOS cam, imho.

I usually don't trust gcam for video recording. Many of times it has happened that recorded videos are corrupt.

Have used several gcam mods, am very satisfied with gcam, use gcam with magisk module?

My sole interest in LineageOS is to move as far as possible from google. So, here are few questions:

1. how to run successfully LineageOS without google (gapps)? If possible with microg, how (detailed instructions)?
2. are the wifi issues being fixed? Please don't share your happy experiences, i am not interested in "i had no issues", as long as some people still have issues.
3. is there any way to simply update on a new release without going through the whole ordeal of reinstalling twrp (and gapps is used)? I find that computers are meant to spare us from tedious repetitive tasks.

Finally i have installed lineageos on my op7 without an error and all the sensors are working fine except the auto brightness sucks.
I would like to appreciate your work and THANK YOU for the rom.
Can you help me with de-googling my phone. I want to install microg along with this os. I know this version do not have signature spoofing but can you tell me how to do this and safety net has also be passed.

I'm just reading this forum for the first time so if this has already been answered I apologize but i use [email protected] for sig spoofing on roms without it.
