Hi, I just finished installing this on my phone but I'm having some issues.

  • First, it detects an Android update that seems to come from Google, but the menu shown is Lineage updater, which doesn't have any. I know it's not the way to update, but it annoys me a bit to have the notification showing up incorrectly. Also, what would be the way to update if a new version is released?
  • I have officially supported Lineage in another phone (Moto G osprey) and it has Privacy Guard, but it appears this version doesn't have it. I thought this would be the same?
  • The bigger problem is that Play Store is not installing any apps. Somehow it installed 3 but after that it always stays at "Pending download". Cleaning data, cache, stopping the application and disabling-enabling (in a lot of orders and combinations) did not solve the issue. Is it safe to flash OpenGapps again from TWRP?

Also I'd like to ask, are there any plans to have this phone officially supported by Lineage?

Thanks for your hard work.

Which build you are on? Get logs when the notification comes.

Privacy Guard has been removed in favour of AOSP Permission Hub.

Logs please

It will go official once everything with vendor is stable.

  • Thanks for the clarification
  • Somehow it started working and I can't replicate it :/ I think it was solved while trying to fix the second problem described below.

I'm going to describe my problems a bit better.

First problem:

This is the notification that took me to Lineage updater before (now it does nothing)

Translation: System updates couldn't be installed. Touch to obtain more information.

This is the logcat. Starting in launcher, I open notification bar and try to open it: pastebin.com/CU5eFd7a (can't post links, sorry)

Second problem:

This is another notification that stays all the time unless I kill the configuration wizard app.

Translation: Nokia 6.1 configuration ongoing. Touch to finish Nokia 6.1 configuration.

Pressing it opens the wizard, which:
  1. Searches for updates (don't know which updates)
  2. Installs them (always)
  3. Checks account information
  4. Asks me to configure security (pattern/pin/password + fingerprints) **
  5. It shows me some examples of things that can be done with Google Assistant
  6. It asks me for permission to record my voice to set up Ok Google (options are No, thanks and Accept)
As I don't want to use the assistant, I do not accept the last. After rejecting it, it takes me again to screen 4, and if I skip that configuration (because it's already done) it takes me to screen 5 and then 6 again, so it's a loop. The wizard is never finished, so it always shows the notification. It's a bit annoying.

Log (from home screen > notification > skip security (because it would fail**) > skip Assistant and land at security again):
First part: pastebin.com/0dU3aB6U
Second part: pastebin.com/66xza057

** This doesn't work since the next problem started.

Third problem:
For some reason, unlocking with the fingerprint has stopped working today. I reconfigured security options, with no luck. I searched and some people said it could be problems with Nova Launcher. I tried changing some settings but still no luck.

It kept on breaking and now the Settings app stops working if I try to set up the security options. I can't even set a pattern.
Logcat in Pastebin: pastebin.com/NMZxZfRZ

There is no information about flashing to update, is it even possible? Or is it mandatory to clean install?
If you are coming from any build earlier than last one I released, clean flash.

If your build is last one and you want to update to new one, you can dirty flash from LineageOS recovery itself but remember to flash GAPPS and aby mods you had flashed again to avoid issues.

Nice, stable build:good:! The last time I tried this the fingerprint sensor was broken, but it's fine on this latest release.

One thing I notice is that vibration strength is weak, and I can barely feel it. It was stronger on, for example, Raghu Varma's Resurrection Remix build (please don't take this comparison the wrong way, I just thought it might be useful as reference to you).

Congratulations on making official status! Hoping the new fully open source device tree and vendor breathes new life into the 6.1's aftermarket development scene. Kudos to the people in the development team

In LOS Wiki there is only TA-1043 and TA-1089 listed - can it also be installed on TA-1068 or other Nokia 6.1 devices for the different regions both Single-SIM and Dual-SIM variants?

Test and tell me, if everything works, I don't mind adding your model as supported on wiki page. I have 1089 and my other co-maintainer have 1043, on which we tested, so its there on wiki, that's why there are only 2 models on wiki right now.

I have clean installed the official build, and the problems I had before (see https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83023913&postcount=65) are more or less fixed.
- The update notification is gone (for now, I hope it doesn't come back when Android updates something)
- The configuration wizard is still broken (the loop after rejecting the voice assistant), but I've been able to skip it by pressing back until I reached the first screen and touching the corners, which closes the wizard. All the settings I set during the installation were kept.
- The pattern and fingerprint are working again. I haven't messed with it to try to change them or something because I don't want to risk it breaking again.

I hope this is somehow useful.

Thanks for your hard work.
