I also have this occasionally, but not often.. Perhaps 1 out of 10 times at most this will happen. The device will power off as opposed to going into the selected recovery or bootloader. You say nothing happens though. I have never had this happen if you literally mean it does nothing.

I have no idea the cause currently and kind of forgot to look into it as it only happens rarely and also wasn't a huge priority for me. It is a bit annoying at times, but doesn't really effect much.
There are other ways to get into recovery/bootloader.
That said, If I find the time I will try to look into it and see if I can fix.

Thanks for the information.

No it is not a big problem, I can get into recovery mode in another way.
This is the first time it happened to me today and it did not disappear even after multiple reboots.
It's ok, it's absolutely no showstopper.

Your work is great and I love EvoX :) Thanks for that.
The first ROM on which everything runs as I'm used to and especially the battery lasts very long.

Greetings and a nice weekend
Jerry

Hi all,

happy brand new user of Evolution X on OP7. The only downside I encounter right now (compared to oos) is some battery drain. Even on idle periods (airplane mode during the night) I'm losing battery quite a lot compared to OOS.
For example, I almost lost 10% battery during this night! I don't play any games, I don't have any fancy apps, just stock and "official" apps from play store (except a custom gcam). I also put most apps on "limited" access in their own battery settings (like facebook, messenger, whatsapp, instagram, and other battery hungy apps ...). I even removed ambiant display. But even with all this, I get poor battery life :/

any ideas what I could look after ?

thank you in advance,

If brand new use means first day, then just let it settle for a couple of days. Android will do is background optimizations and your battery life will get better.
Of it has been more then a few days. Try to set what is draining your battery with something like BBS.

I can only agree with that, it took me 2-3 days after the first conversion.
Since then I am very satisfied with the battery drain.
Better than Stock ROM and some other ROMs for OP7.

Greetings

Hi, I'm experiencing slower wifi than on OOS and may I enquire if there is anyway to get OOS gestures? If not I have an issue with a slight grey bar at the bottom where the navigation gesture was and it is persistent when using 3-key navigation. Thanks in advance.

WiFi range is less in all custom ROMs for our device. No issues with speed that I've experienced or that anyone has reported.

Not really sure about this bar as I use gestures sorry.
fingerprint sensor working so slow !
what to do?
Working fine here, so idk why this issue for you.

Hello. In the car the bluetooth always tells me unsuccessful calls but on Oxygen Os I have no problem. I tried with Resurection remix does not work either. I therefore think that on the custom rom the bluetooth does not work correctly but this problem I noticed it for me I have not yet seen it posted on any forum I am perhaps an isolated case.

I have an issue with wired headphones; I use an usb-C - jack 3.5mm adapter to connect the headphones to the phone. The headphones have no microphone, but the phone ''thinks'' they have, so the internal microphone does not work --> I have to unplug the headphones to make calls or to use google assistant with voice commands.
I don't know if it is a rom issue or if my usb-C - jack 3.5mm adapter is faulty, can anyone please try to reproduce the issue and give me a feedback?

I made calls with bluetooth headphones, a bluetooth car radio and a bluetooth receiver and I did not have any issue with any of them. I think the rom is just fine on this side - may be some sort of incompatibility with your car radio. If you can, try with other bluetooth devices and see if the issue persist.

By the way, with the last build (dirty flash) the battery life is amazing. 7h SOT minimum. Not sure if this is random or intended, but anyway, good job!

I also use a usb-c to 3.5mm adaptor. I can't say for sure that I've tried this on the most recent build, but I know that it has worked fine for me in the past and I've done nothing device side that should have broken this in the latest release.

Also, thanks for confirming that car bluetooth works as I've no way to test this currently.

I am not sure, but I use a 3.5mm external mic on my windows 10 laptop and I don't get audio out because it feels that it is a headphones with a mic...
I also have a headphones without mic and I have to remove it whenever I need to speak in Google meet on my iPad...
So I guess that's how it works...never tried in android tho

Hey ! After one week, I Love the rom ! However, the battery life is...worse ! I get half compared to oos. this night I lost almost 20% while idle. I get the impression that, no matter I use my phone or not, the battery is draining constantly.
BBS is not free so I checked with exkernel (I get 68% of deep sleep) and Android battery monitor but didn t really see anything strange. What could I do ?

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Here is the battery monitor. You Can see I didn t use my phone since Yesterday evening but I get a Big battery drain

Hi, thanks a lot for the BBS link.
Here's the result after 12h (and 7hours airplane mode)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Wbp9myo-ODgbhtINt1Sp64pp23t74oc/view?usp=drivesdk

For evolution x, 3,1%/h is something I should be considering normal ?

    - Auto brightness is not perfect. Much like other ROMS for our device
    - Selecting the "notch hide" options breaks FOD (fingerprint on display)

Note: The default color for fingerprint pressed effect (Settings -> The Evolver - Lockscreen) is MIUI white and does not work. Change the color to either vivo cyan (shadow),Realme green (shadow) or vivo yellow (shadow) Please read I don't want to have to repeat this a thousand times!

    Important note
The new default color for fingerprint pressed effect (Settings -> The Evolver - Lockscreen) is green and does not work at all. If you try to setup your FP it will not work. Change the color to either vivo cyan (shadow) or vivo yellow (shadow) and register. You may need to retry a few times for the color change to take effect (leave and re-enter setup screen). I did,not sure why. This should only effect those installing for the first time. Dirty flash and OTA should be fine as vivo green never worked anyway. Please read I dont want to have to repeat this a thousand times! This has been added to the main post as well.
