Finally installed this rom yesterday. So far so good. Can't stand the bugs from the stock rom. Xiaomi seems not interest in fixing bugs even they have update security patch. Good work to this rom. Anyone try pixel experience extended? How does it compare to this one?

Thanks to the guide and the video I was able to install the stock rom. Then I unlocked the bootloader and enabled camera 2 api, but now check the non-certified device on the play Store. I tried to register the Google service framework ID but nothing and not even deleting the memory of play service or Google play. how can I do ?

it's non-certified because your bootloader is unlocked. what you can do is flashed magisk (rooted) or locked your bootloader again(back up data first).

but if i install magisk and pass the safety net test, can i still update the phone? also to block the bootloader I should do it from fastboot and then I lose the data again due to the reset? and I don't lose the camera 2api enabled bees?

afaik, yes you can update but it's a different process. I think there is a thread related to that updating stock rom with magisk installed.

for the bootloader relocking, yes! you will lose data and camera2 api also.

New to here. Got an update notification. How can I just do the update. I don't want to do a full installation again. How to do?

I gave up on updating. If I do it from the notification, I tap Download, Install and reboot and it takes me to the PE recovery saying "there's no ROM" and that "I can try with a factory reset". I tried with twrp on "Install" option and looking for the update zip but that didn't work neither.
Also if I change the active partition it boots normally but on the not-updated version. It's like if it install the update on the other partition but it fails.

(sorry for my english)

Here is the fun part. I have a spare hone Mi A1 which has PE+ installed. I do the update on it and it go smooth without any problem. Reboot to updated version without any problem. So I do the same on A2 but as you said. After the update it go straight to recovery. It only give me 1 choice is format data. So I did format data and it boot ok. Obviously, I need to manually do some setup on my apps. Not very fun at all. There must be some steps I'm missing.

Hmm, right now I have the PE+ recovery and ROM installed. How can I switch to TWRP recovery. I did try fastboot flash boot twrp-3.4.0-1-jasmine_sprout.img. But it will just hang on TWRP boot screen. I have to put back PE+ recovery to get it boot normally. Any hint?

I changed to the other partition using this version of TWRP: twrp-3.3.1-5-jasmine_sprout-unofficial.img

Hi, can you please share the download link for the ROM and how you installed? The stock ROM is making my life miserable. Too many bugs. I'll never buy a Xiaomi phone again, EVER!!!

---------- Post added at 08:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:23 AM ----------

I never installed a custom ROM before.I really need to flash PE on my MI A2 but I don't know how to do it.Can someone help me? My device is still in stock OS.Is there any way to install this ROM without installing TWRP? I have a 64GB Mi A2.

First you need to unlock your bootloader:
    -Download and Extract Platform-tools
-Download TWRP for MiA2, and put them into extracted platform-tools folder
    -Download Pixel Experience Rom
    -Download Magisk

-Go to Settings - About phone and tap Build Number 7 times.
-Go to Settings, Developer Settings, and enable OEM Unlock and USB Debugging
    -Turn off your phone
-Press and Hold the Volume - and Power buttons at the same time, until you see Fastboot logo
-Plug your phone into a usb port on your pc
    -Go to extracted platform-tools folder
-Shift + Right click - Open Command Promt here
-Type in these lines one by one:
    Code:
    fastboot devices
    fastboot flashing unlock
    fastboot flashing unlock_critical

This will wipe your phone and your bootloader will be unlocked.

After this is done, boot back into Fastboot mode (Volume down +Power)
-Once again, open a Command Promt in platform-tools folder
    -Type in these:
    Code:
    fastboot devices
    fastboot -w
    fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-5-jasmine_sprout-unofficial.img
-This will boot TWRP on your phone.
-From here you can Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik, Data
-Copy the PE Rom zip and Magisk zip onto your phone
    -Flash PE Rom
-Go to Wipe - Format Data (Type in yes)
-Go back to the Home screen
-Go to Reboot, and select the opposite Slot to where you are on now. If you are on A, tap B and vice versa.
    -Tap on Reboot - Download
    -
    Code:
    fastboot devices
    fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-5-jasmine_sprout-unofficial.img
    -Flash Magisk zip then reboot.

This is if you don't want TWRP installed. You can simply flash twrp-installer-3.3.1-5-jasmine_sprout-unofficial.zip after flashing the rom, if you want TWRP permanently.

Hope it helps and extensive enough.

How to update official roms. really easy

1- once you get a notification that an update is available, download and install with the system updater but don't reboot
2- go to Magisk, Downloads, search for "TWRP A/B Retention Script" and install it
3- on the main Magisk page, click install > install > Install to Inactive Slot (After OTA)
4- once Magisk finishes, reboot, you will now be on the opposite slot with both Magisk and TWRP installed.
