Is SafetyNet passing Basic Integrity? If so, and it's only failing CTS Profile Match, then you'll need to download HideProps Config in Magisk. You should be able to use terminal to edit build.prop and change fingerprint. I used Moto G7 fingerprint, which allowed me to successfully pass SafetyNet.
However, this worked for me using on RR 8.63, I haven't used RR since then, so maybe something's changed between then and now.
I'm currently using PixelExperience on Android 11. I didn't even have to download Magisk, phone passed SafetNet without me having to do anything.
I've been enjoying it so far. Can't get NFC to work, but that's not a deal breaker. Fast charging works. Everything else seems to be running pretty smoothly. I get the occasional minor hiccup with some apps displaying slightly erratic behaviour. Sometimes Chrome web browser might lock up for a split second, and Facebook app will sometimes randomly freeze. But apart from that it's running pretty great.
I'd have terrible slowdowns when using resurrection remix. I'd get some apps that would freeze for a minute or two, even some that would cause the phone to reboot. Haven't run into anything like that yet on PE.
It's shame. It's working pretty well on my G6.
Indeed.
Not the best alternative but a alternative I'm testing right now is this:
Where is the attachment link?Download this attachment and install the apk. Run the apk. Done.

At this moment, it looks and feels very well. The battery consumption is rather high, but that's the only problem I've noticed so far.
On a side note: I have been able to build the ResurrectionRemixOS 8.6.x ROMs myself for ali. Up until now, the upstream developers added the monthly security patches into the RROS sources. That way, I could just pull, build and deploy. Unfortunately, after the 2021 February patches, their work seems to have stopped.
In other words: if the RROS developers were to keep on updating the patches, I would be willing to build monthly for our ali-device.

PixelExperience? Not Resurrection Remix? I don't think you'd be able to just flash this over an existing RE installation without any problems. Thanks to the PixelExperience-developers and @jeangraff30, this is my unofficial build containing the September-2021 security patches.
These are the build instructions I followed. For the last months, I have built the ROM like this, ever since 'ali' was dropped as an official PE device. To me, it seems very stable and complete. Battery consumption is not higher than normal.

You are right. It would require a clean flash.PixelExperience? Not Resurrection Remix? I don't think you'd be able to just flash this over an existing RE installation without any problems.
I personally don't have a G6 but a friend of mine has, and it seems that NFC doesn't work for their phone anymore (or never did on RR, we aren't sure). Quite sure it did work before, but on RR it seems the hardware isn't even being detected anymore sadly. You are right. It would require a clean flash.
I thought you were looking for any up-to-date ROM for the G6, not specifically Resurrection Remix. The latter could probably be built with recent patches, but personally, I am happy with PixelExperience Plus.

My man! This RR v8.6.5 is seriously solid! I mean, like Debian Stable rock solid! I have been testing, exhausting every option for hours and it keeps giving me everything I ask. I had one "problem", at first boot touchscreen wasn't working at all. Big disappointment since I just got the phone yesterday and noticed there are only a few custom ROMs available. Decided to try again and just reboot: it's been delightful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
EDIT: BTW I am using this build with Nanolx's microG and Fdroid flashable zips directly flashed in system, without Magisk and no Google account. This is a pretty weird setup, most of the time it wouldn't work properly. How the hell did you achieve this?
