Is SafetyNet passing Basic Integrity? If so, and it's only failing CTS Profile Match, then you'll need to download HideProps Config in Magisk. You should be able to use terminal to edit build.prop and change fingerprint. I used Moto G7 fingerprint, which allowed me to successfully pass SafetyNet.

However, this worked for me using on RR 8.63, I haven't used RR since then, so maybe something's changed between then and now.

I'm currently using PixelExperience on Android 11. I didn't even have to download Magisk, phone passed SafetNet without me having to do anything.

I managed to make SafetyNet work by flashing the Universal SafetyNet Fix that's on Github. On another note, how's PixelExperience? I've been considering switching from RR to PE or LineageOS since they've got Android 11.

I've been enjoying it so far. Can't get NFC to work, but that's not a deal breaker. Fast charging works. Everything else seems to be running pretty smoothly. I get the occasional minor hiccup with some apps displaying slightly erratic behaviour. Sometimes Chrome web browser might lock up for a split second, and Facebook app will sometimes randomly freeze. But apart from that it's running pretty great.

I'd have terrible slowdowns when using resurrection remix. I'd get some apps that would freeze for a minute or two, even some that would cause the phone to reboot. Haven't run into anything like that yet on PE.

I had a similar experience as Pr3nd3r with Resurrection Remix 8.6.5 (Android 10) on my Moto G6 3GB RAM/32GB ROM (xt1925-6). I appreciated the customizations and features of RR, but it just was not stable enough for me and had severe performance issues (even compared to the poor stock Moto Pie build). LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) was much more stable but had issues with Magisk functionality, odd performance quirks and SELinux was set to Permissive (a BAD practice).

The Pixel Experience Android 11 ROM for Moto G6 by Jean Graff is the real deal. It has the speed and feel of the stock Moto Oreo 8.1.0 with the features of Android 11. It's faster and more responsive than the stock Moto Pie build, the RR 8.6.5 ROM, and latest unofficial LineageOS 17.1 ROM. The only issue I've found is the lack of NFC, but the Moto G6 is not my daily driver so that is not a major concern for me. Overall I'm quite impressed with the Pixel Experience Android 11 build so I say give it a shot.

Do fingerprint gestures work? (tapping to go home, etc.)

It's shame. It's working pretty well on my G6.
Indeed.
What's the best alternative?
Not the best alternative but a alternative I'm testing right now is this:
rom-11-moto-g6-pixelexperience-aosp
At this moment, it looks and feels very well. The battery consumption is rather high, but that's the only problem I've noticed so far.

On a side note: I have been able to build the ResurrectionRemixOS 8.6.x ROMs myself for ali. Up until now, the upstream developers added the monthly security patches into the RROS sources. That way, I could just pull, build and deploy. Unfortunately, after the 2021 February patches, their work seems to have stopped. :(
In other words: if the RROS developers were to keep on updating the patches, I would be willing to build monthly for our ali-device.

Kind regards,
FWieP

Hi,first of all, thanks for the awesome rom,I started to use custom roms, three or four years ago,in my J7 Prime, and the Resurrection Remix, always be the best of all,for me at least, so one more time, thank you so much.
I have just one little problem,I can't activate the voice match,in the settings, the button is there, but there's no response.
Anyone else with this problem too?
Or anyone knows how to fix it?
(Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Brazil)

I am getting an error 255 when trying to flash this ROM via TWRP 3.5.2_9-0. I've searched for the error 255 and the answers I've found thus far are for Moto G4's and G5's.

Update... I flashed a 64 bit version of TWRP onto the device and although that allowed me to flash this RR ROM I am now presented with a new issue, the phone will not boot "successfully".

Bootloader Log

Would you be able to post the latest update maybe? Seems the download link in the first post hasn't gotten an update in almost a year now, so having an up-to-date one at least means more security.

Thanks to the PixelExperience-developers and @jeangraff30, this is my unofficial build containing the September-2021 security patches.

These are the build instructions I followed. For the last months, I have built the ROM like this, ever since 'ali' was dropped as an official PE device. To me, it seems very stable and complete. Battery consumption is not higher than normal.

ZIP: PixelExperience_Plus_ali-11.0-20210915-0656-UNOFFICIAL.zip
MD5: PixelExperience_Plus_ali-11.0-20210915-0656-UNOFFICIAL.zip.md5sum
ASC: PixelExperience_Plus_ali-11.0-20210915-0656-UNOFFICIAL.zip.md5sum.asc

Known bugs:
- none so far

Edit: Removed obsolete download links

Kind regards,

PixelExperience? Not Resurrection Remix? I don't think you'd be able to just flash this over an existing RE installation without any problems.

You are right. It would require a clean flash.

I thought you were looking for any up-to-date ROM for the G6, not specifically Resurrection Remix. The latter could probably be built with recent patches, but personally, I am happy with PixelExperience Plus.

I personally don't have a G6 but a friend of mine has, and it seems that NFC doesn't work for their phone anymore (or never did on RR, we aren't sure). Quite sure it did work before, but on RR it seems the hardware isn't even being detected anymore sadly.
So I thought an update may fix this but the one that's on the phone already is the latest available for download here. Not exactly sure how to set up a build environment tho, else I could try to build one too.

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

To install this ROM (8.6.5) I did the following, worked perfectly.
    1. Install TWRP 64 Bit
    2. Boot to recovery, do a factory reset. You don't need to go farther than that.
    3. Install the ROM, reboot to recovery
    4. Install GAPPS 64bit (I use Nano, but Pico works too)
    5. Install Magisk 20.4
    6. Reboot and let it do its thing for a few minutes.

    Done. :)
    3
My man! This RR v8.6.5 is seriously solid! I mean, like Debian Stable rock solid! I have been testing, exhausting every option for hours and it keeps giving me everything I ask. I had one "problem", at first boot touchscreen wasn't working at all. Big disappointment since I just got the phone yesterday and noticed there are only a few custom ROMs available. Decided to try again and just reboot: it's been delightful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

EDIT: BTW I am using this build with Nanolx's microG and Fdroid flashable zips directly flashed in system, without Magisk and no Google account. This is a pretty weird setup, most of the time it wouldn't work properly. How the hell did you achieve this?

Ok. I didn't go as far as you did. I did a clean wipe, clean install, nano gaps and magisk 20.4. Smoooth as butttttttttteeeeerrrr. This is nice and polished. I'm very very impRRessed.
